something else from the editor F centers the camera on the selected object ctrl + c copy ctrl + x cut ctrl + v paste ctrl + e edit group ctrl pressed + left click to select more If you want to create a perfect circle, use a reference point with a coordinate axis in the center, such as matches or bullets. The reference point of a group or composition will always be the last selected block. To adjust a composition to the grid, select all the elements, leave the last reference block, set the grid mode and click 2 or 3 times on the arrows of the axes to go to its place

UNDER REVIEW [YLD-9146] lost compostions and duplication of entities
Spyler.X posted a question in Bugs & Technical Issues
When a composition is shared in the workshop, the composition of the editor is eliminated. Personally I have no problem with this since I always have a lot of copies everywhere but it can be annoying to have to create the composicon again after uploading it to the workshop. I have also noticed that when trying to eliminate a large number of entities they can be duplicated and these duplicates can only be eliminated one by one. sometimes it is necessary to restart to be able to eliminate them in the editor -
UNDER REVIEW [YLD-9146] lost compostions and duplication of entities
Spyler.X replied to Spyler.X's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
here they have a video where you see how it disappears. this happens when you load the model .ycp to the workshop Now I am sure that the error was due to the creation of a shortcut. I have removed it to test if the problem disappeared and, on the other hand, it does not even appear when I create a new one. I suppose they will be somewhere, I looked in the folders but I have not found them yet. I restored it, at least I could save them This error reminds me when you change a folder with which you work in 3d max and lose all the textures of the model. (I learned this recently) -
DEV ANSWER [YLD-9229] error when editing workshop model(Asset guid should be the same.)
Spyler.X replied to Spyler.X's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
Anyway I would like to add that maybe it would be better if it could be changed for any composition since this method forces us to recreate the previous composition in case we want to save it. Maybe you could have a record and if it is a copy of it even if it is saved differently that can be substituted in the workshop -
DEV ANSWER [YLD-9229] error when editing workshop model(Asset guid should be the same.)
Spyler.X replied to Spyler.X's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
I would like it but the composition disappears from my editor when I upload it to the workshop so I am forced to create a new one. other times it worked for me although I honestly do not know if I can assure that it was different . I mention this in another post I think it may be related to the access routes Well then let's say that this is solved. my problem is the other one that should not be erased from my compositions I've put a video on the other thread the moment it disappears -
putting motors on the other cars does not work. maybe you could try that with two drivers at the same time. I have managed to drag up to 6 wagons without losing much speed. You can add enough engines to get more speed, the short cars are faster and work better in more closed corners. the long wagons the best size ratio functionality that I have got is 3 cars with 4 and it is only possible to put a wagon for a reasonable speed. * At some point I will make a detailed explanation of all this I'll try it with big vehicles. Maybe there is some difference

I'm in a hurry, so I'll try later, meanwhile ...

Official Item Suggestion Thread

motor pump to move the water. Crafteo with rubber tube, generator, gear and helix or auger. would allow us to create lakes or fill parts of the ocean, a rain collector could help with this.- 21 replies

I have optimized the 5º curve by reducing the number of blocks a lot, the rendering has also been improved since the blocks of 1 are the main causes. Also say that I'm experiencing some problems to update the editor version so wait a bit to build big curves I will wait for a response from the developers. if this is delayed I will upload them together with some more elements.

for me a very good solution for this, is to put a block that makes the ship function and everything that is built from the is the boat. This would give incredible freedom but you can really get a big size in survival mode and in the editor you can really make the boat as big as you want. https://ylands.net/asset/265

DEV ANSWER [YLD-9229] error when editing workshop model(Asset guid should be the same.)
Spyler.X replied to Spyler.X's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
Now I am trying to replace this file. if you can try to tell me how to fix it, since it is a hassle for others to have to download the file several times. this is the one that is uploaded in the workshop ==_SIMPLE_RAIL_TRAIN_V.2.rar and this is the updated version that does not let me put KIT_RAIL_TRAIN_OPTIMIZED.rar this time I will be patient and wait for a solution -
Ami that happened to me when I use automatic saving when closing the editor. I always save it first from the editor tab and then save it again automatically. I pass many times. now it does not happen to me anymore PS: that map looks very good

A day with nothing to do, Ylands and a box of matches
Spyler.X replied to Spyler.X's topic in Community News
one fast. This time I have used coconuts, feathers, conches and some matches -
for those who have tried the other one they will love it The new system is finished It is fully functional. For now only the straight line and the 5º curve are the ones that work best. I'll put the rest later. The system is already fully functional in both directions. Just need a push to change direction you can see it in the test shown in the video. The wagons are separable and the rails have conduits for electricity. The model is simplified so that they decorate your taste and be more fluid. Over time I will make a decorated version. And of course I'll keep doing tests to see how far you can go with this. *warning: the noise that collisions make is hellish since I have not been able to edit the workshop model, I have reloaded them. I've deleted the old ones because they will not be very functional. Sorry for the inconvenience Train: https://ylands.net/asset/359 s

mm well I have two questions. Does anyone know why it will not let me edit the model of the workshop? other times I did not have any problem. and how do you prefer the models one by one or as they are now?
-
not much. I tried to transport a small boat but the ship's direction was affected so I left it. But I can tell you that for example in cars it does not accept more than four cars in a row if they are linked, however, when putting mobile connections, it allows you to put whatever you want. I am finishing polishing the train and I have achieved a fully functional system. look at this connection gives a lot of freedom when maneuvering maybe you can serve. But I'll try later with the boats
-
I'm improving the system, I'm getting less friction in the corners to increase the speed. I am also leaving a conduit in case you want to put an electrical system

I will need a folder only for your creations Sr SyxtySyx amazing work, As you said, this is just the beginning. With these little things, in the end we will be able to create wonderful maps and games to enjoy

Suggest Ability To Flatten Water In Editor
Spyler.X replied to Pharaun Mizzrym's question in Suggestions & Feedback
if it is really complicated. I got it done in the following way.But I agree that it must improve a lot for this it is necessary to use the editor and not load the game until the process is finished. In the editor they first remove the water from the area where they are going to modify. Then modify the terrain to your liking leaving the area below the water in a staggered way with the flattening tool always start from top to bottom the process is similar to that of making a river. And above all very important, to work on a single material, for example sand. To avoid the interaction with possible remains of water that may have remained Finally, before loading the map add an estimated amount of water to fill. Do not forget to place a creative cube to finish adjusting later. Once this is done, they load their map to play and they finish adjusting the amount of water everything should look good. -
good of everything I've done so far this is what has cost me more but the result has been pretty good. This is the first version I have made it very simple so that you can experiment with it and decorate it to your liking. Use the least amount of blocks so that no performance problems. And the assembly is quite simple. The only thing, the curve sections, you have to adjust them manually, you can create the composition of the complete curve in the editor to be able to use it later more easily. But keep in mind that the editor still gives some problems with large compositions. With the 5º rail and smaller trains with two wagons you can go forward and backward. with more cars just forward. I do not recommend going backwards in the 10º and 15º can get stuck. With one-way routes and large trains in the 10º and 15º curves you will have to attend the curve from time to time with the direction. *obsolete version

the rails guide the vehicle, except in the 10º and 15º curves that need a little assistance with more than two wagons. I'm finished some details to put a simple model in the workshop

talking about roller coasters I did some test with this I still have not managed to put it completely horizontal ...

in the editor the shortcut ctrl + D makes a duplicate of the selected objects, something very useful many times, but being the same movement key, it is very easy to duplicate objects without realizing it. It has happened several times to have Ctrl pressed to select more objects. It is very easy to press that combination by mistake it would be better to use another key in my opinion. this could be one of the causes of the duplicates in the compositions

In the editor, double-clicking on the object opens a window with the options you can put it to your liking
