You're kidding, I hope. I can't tell you the number of reports and logs I personally have sent. @RedEagle_P1. absolutely has. Back when he was having issues with server death regularly, he offered BI access to the P1 servers to see what was actually going on. I have a request about not being able to upload to Nitrado that even though I have typed the same problem a couple of times, I get told wrong information. I don't know how to put in logs for I can't upload. This time I included screencaps. This response was rude, frankly.

I did not get an upload button. I tried to import the file. It by default asked for the .json file. I chose the .yds file that I created from your instructions. It did not like that at all. Honestly. The upload is not working. And once again, the communication is completely not there. There is a mystery command to create a scenario that I would have no idea how to do it if I hadn't asked. It's like it never occurred to anyone that we might need instructions to upload in a completely new and different way. I shouldn't be surprised, this is classic BI operations. But good grief. @Aleš Ulm Can someone please get us accurate instructions? FFS

i will try again. i may need a video. i have done this and the only upload option i saw was asking for a .json file.

So what I am seeing is the three groups most likely to try to use Nitrado (P1, YWOD, and 3HT) aren't able to do so.

@RedEagle_P1. I can't even find a way to do that. I thought maybe they just wanted us to have vanilla explore and play what the server generates, but I can't access that either. I think it's not as ready as we were led to believe. @Adam Snellgrove

I have installed the game three times now. The old file browser tab does not exist. It looks like I could potentially upload a scenario, but even that seems to want me to upload a .json file. Which I know nothing about. A search of the nitrado site shows the old way (file browser) or FTP upload, however there is no FTP upload ability in the dashboard for YLands. @MyPa553ng3r put in a support ticket, but no word back from them. @Spyler.X have you tried to upload to Nitrado?

Has anyone successfully managed to host a game on Nitrado since the update? @RedEagle_P1.?

Nitrado seems to be in a restart loop. In my experience that happens when files are corrupted, however I haven't uploaded any files at this point. It's just trying to load the server files, presumably from BI. They don't respond to help requests in a timely manner. (This being the biggest reason I was surprised that BI chose them to partner with.) So I guess I wait. More. Yay.

I was able to make the servergame. However, I can't upload it to Nitrado. There is nowhere to upload it. It seems to want a json file. I never had to do that with Nitrado in the past. I was under the impression that is what is used for self hosted servers that are no longer supported. Again, I don't know if this is a Nitrado issue or not. I need some help.

It being a nitrado issue is possible. We have a help request with them.

Old style islands, bring back sharks, and navigation birds. Bring back old style caves. These things would really help.

@Adam Snellgrove see if you can get your hands on a .07 to .12 version. Play it for a bit. It was a different game. Make all the editor changes you want. But please we miss the quaint adventure it was. Your most loyal base is telling you, you have lost something special. I get so frustrated and vocal at times because I love this game. I love this community. If you cant play the older version, then at least watch some of the youtuber. There were a half dozen good players showcasing this amazing little game.

I tried it a different way and was able to purchase them with my paypal. so thank you. i will note, however that had my first request for help a few months ago been responded to by the dev team, I would have learned this earlier. as it stands, it took another player to help me. thanks again

i finally got in. the page itself was timing out. also, as far as i know my accounts are linked. i was trying to log in using my login from the forum. i wouldnt have any idea how else to do it.

I was in a random server, I made a bamboo raft. Inside the navigation for the raft, there is no compass. I have no idea if this is a bug or a feature.

I think a fair number of us bought this game from watching Keralis play. We were not looking for a game creator. Check out the early days.

Have you actually tried to rent a server through the game? Because you absolutely can't do it with debit or credit. It does not even give you the option.

@Miguel Preguisa you stated it very well. The game started out as a quiant little game. The graphics were chunky and beautiful. The music was mesmerizing. It had issues to be sure. Sailing on a ship was a clear death sentence. But there was a reason to sail. The early spawn was a little dangerous, but there was reason to explore. You needed the resources you could find there. The old cave system was so much different. You had to really work on being able to get in and find your way out. All along the way there was death and accomplishment. Now, meh.

Thank you, @belrathius. I have invested time, money and frustration into this game. I love the community, but it's hard to maintain when they don't have a good server to play on. I have been a server admin for nearly two years with P1, and for nearly 3 years privately. I won't go into the details, but I have spent my own money, I do not monetize to offset. I have purchased several copies as gifts, and have supported this game in every way I can. But if I can't host a server, it really is a waste of my time and resources. We were told "soon" for nitrado. We are nearly a year out. I paid for three months of nitrado twice in that time hoping "soon" was going to happen. Those six month's were wasted. I can't even get the option now with nitrado, and BI servers are not user friendly.
