  1. I've searched the forums endlessly for an answer to this, but, is the Explore Gamemode multiplayer? If so, how would one set it up, I've tried setting it up just by hosting a game via "Join" but it gives me no option to set a passcode or anything. If there is currently no multi, will there be multiplayer for Explore in the future? Thanks!
  2. kk been playing since oct 31 /nov 1st also bought a few friends the game casue it rocks and has a lot of potential , we re all experiencing these issues , 1) cant connect to each other in multiplayer - I know this is probably due to ports/avg ect blocking connections 2) chunks clearing when left , after you dig or build anything then hop on a raft to explore then come back the entire area where you have built is cleared to water level ie a big hole perfectly square (assuming that's a chunk like minecraft) 3) dying to falling on a voxel or running up a hill on a weird voxel , a tree falling and you bumping into it . 4) after dying in said area above you have to quit to main menu , which then freezes up before showing the menu ( assuming that's a report or something being sent in to a server ect ) but game just locks up have to cancel out using task manager . 5) anytime you leave a game via exit to menu or exit to desktop it freezes , refer to #4 , with the exception of exiting before 4-5 mins of game play it will go back to title if its a short amount of time . that's all the bugs ive found so far which kind of make the game unplayable , ive spent hours playing only to not be able to save the game when I reload its back a few hours ahead of where I left off ect , we re all 25+ that I bought the game for friends being 21- 25 and myself being over 40 . Iove the way the game is headed and aside from those issues its a great fun game I love the cell shaded graphics and the crafting ect . good job , if we can just fix these issues , thanks FireFrost
  3. Dear developers, I am currently enjoying your game a lot. I finished the learning ysland and the other one where you have to free the engineers and I had a lot of fun in the process. However, now since I'm spending time in the explore game mode, I'm finding that there's a serious lack of guidance right now. There's no real indication of how to build a forge for example and crafting looks really confusing, It could really be improved to be more aesthetically pleasing as well as easier to understand. I know survival isn't the primary focus on the development in this game, as it is more about creativity and creating any type of game mode you'd like, but the survival aspect is really fun already and I believe you can get a big audience for just that aspect of the game. Things I like: Building is absolutely brilliant! It's the most precise and easiest building mechanic in any survival game. The graphics are amazing. I'm loving the creative freedom Your humor. There are so many items, I love it! However, these things need some work in my opinion: Stack splitting and being able to drag, destroy or drop a stack of items. The overall crafting needs more work, it's just not clear how I can progress with items and gear. Animations - some animations are very stiff, lacking or not aesthetically pleasing. Walking sideways makes your character appear like he's moonwalking for a second. Also, chopping wood could use an animation that gives more feedback on if you are actually chopping wood or not. Sometimes I find myself hitting the ground before realising that I have to find that sweet spot to chop a tree. If the character would take on a different stance, it would really be more immersive as well as easier to see if I'm actually chopping a tree or not. Animations overall could be more fluent. Performance - I think the game loads the whole island at once, I'm not a programmer, but right now the game requires a lot of processing power. I hope the UI will change in the actual release of the game. Overall, I'm really enjoying this game, and I truly hope it will catch on. I just was immediately intrigued after playing the tutorial, I'm curious about future updates. Here are some pictures of my little shelter that I'm working on right now, even though the survival experience doesn't yet feel complete, I'm having a great time. It takes a while to create a shelter, but it actually feels more worthwhile than in for example; Minecraft. Don't be discouraged by the more present list of things I dislike, I'm loving the game, thank you for developing this piece of awesomeness. I wish I could somehow be more involved in the creation of this game because I'm really feeling it. isn't there a way to help out using my graphic design skills or something? Haha, anyway, cheers and keep doing what you do over there.
  4. I run 3 displays with a 5760x1080 res and I can not see any UI buttons on the start menu/screen. I have not tried going to just one display to troubleshoot the issue, just figured I'd let you know that 3 displays has an I\issue for me. I have no buttons showing but can click the "login" button, then the game crashes. I have bought the game hoping to play it a bunch. hoping for a fix soon.......
  5. Hello, Actually, I really enjoy playing Ylands. But I'm alone... I understood that we can create some sort of LAN servers but it's not easy as just connecting to an IP adress. So, could you make some PvE dedicated servers avaible during the devlopment of Ylands to make to players able to play together and try to have the most sofisticated base ? I think that it could be very cool if we could have some auto-restarted servers on the Medieval map to make some attack/deffense game. Ylands is really cool, don't let us only play alone
  6. Dear Ylands dev. team, After the release of the last update, I wanted to play the new scenario "Ylands 17". I started to explore this new map when I spotted a problem. I know a bit Unity so I think this is some sort of LOD problem. In fact, when you turn your character the objects that should be no longer watchable disapear. But, this is not scaled on the field of view of the player. Here's an exemple in GIF of the problem. Then, when you are close to an objetc, this one could disapears if you turn your caracter I hope that you'll be able to fix it in the next update By the way, I really like the idea of Ylands 17 with all the Ylands Dev Team in frames
  7. Hey guys, new to this game, When i try to create a survival gamemode is stays on 0% loading, but my friend is able to create a game and i am also unable to join him, we are both on free trial testing out multiplayer to see if we should buy it. any solutions to fix it?

    Hello Ylands Dev. Team ! I recently played the Trial Version of Ylands and I thought that was a really cool game. Then this morning I bought the complete game. I'm an actual Modder of the game Unturned which use the Unity 5.4 engine. I really enjoy making mods for the Unturned community. I alereday saw that the modding support is not avaible in your Roadmap. So I would like to know when will we be able to make mods and how ? I'm an user of Blender and Unity 5.4 so if Ylands uses Blender, I would really enjoy it Thank you for redaing my message.
  9. I'm new and wanted to try out the game before buying it so i downloaded the launcher and left it to do its thing. After a few hours my launcher is still stuck on 50%. I've tried closing it, restarting my computer, etc. but it still gets stuck at this point. Any help is appreciated!

  11. So during a Multiplayer session we came across several bug's listed below; Items picked up would not disappear properly for clients but did so for host. Tools dropped would not be visible to some clients but were for the host. Horses when summoned 'F9' would appear invisible for the client sometimes but the game was still aware of it as you could see it in the GUI when you looked at it and even mount and ride it. (Not the case for the host) Sometimes the client would be unable to access workstations/chest or pickup/craft or interact with their inventory or equip tools from the hotbar. (The host also had a similar issue with being unable to take items out chests) If using a tool when it breaks you would be stuck in that animation until you use the tool again. On a rare occasion if you left to the main menu or desktop it would get stuck saving/leaving. If a player died and dropped their items on the ground on death and reconnected those items would not be visible to them. (We used a custom scenario so were could respawn and had it set to drop items and equipment on death) Saloon door is offset in a way that you can not have two of them to make like the western saloon doors in movies and such, probably would be better to have them centred. If a player pulls out a weapon that has a crosshair it toggles the crosshair on for all players. Some weapons (seemed mostly like the ranged weapons) would cause the player to be looking at the ground to others. I attached the entire logs as there might be other issues you guys might see in the logs also, Sorry they are so big as its an entire session in 2 parts as I had the stuck leaving bug happen to me. Also here are some screenshots: - Ghost object/Item after being picked up - Ghost horse after being summoned and im riding it. - Weapons making others see you looking at ground (He's actually looking forward on his side), Also can see the crosshair visible for me even though i do not have a weapon out. output_log_Part1.txt output_log_Part2.txt

Hi there iv just download and installed the trial to check the game out iv just got to part of the tutorial with the cave and crafting a burning torch but when i go into inventory and click the craft button it dosnt do anything well actualy the x in the top right gets highlighted green. From a review video i saw clicking the craft button swaps inventory items to craftables but its not happening for me Its almost like when you have a popup up on a program and you try and click the program behind the popup, and the popup just flashes and makes the windows dong sound I managed to start a creative game but in the inventory there the craft button sometimes works sometimes dosnt(i kind of have to click the button fast enouth the computer isnt expecting it) and the creative button dosnt work in the same way the craft button dosnt in the tutorial Has anyone else expericaned this before iv not seen any mention of it in previous post on the forum thanks

    Is it possible to run Ylands on 32bit Windows? I tried to run it after instalation and Windows told me to check if I have 64 or 32bit system. So, is there any way to run it on that computer? (I dont understand computers at all )

Hi folks, im playing Ylands for couple of hours and game looks great, but have some issues: 1. when i died, i cant respawn. i have to go to main menu and then respawn, but whole my world is wiped and im starting from zero. 2. i was digging about 3 hours, but didnt find single piece of iron ore 3. maybe its not in game, but i didnt figure out, how to create a chest for storage items 4. what is difference between fishing pole and fishing pole with lure? 5. why knife is broken after cca 10 uses and other tools are infinite?
  15. Probably something you will hear requested allot is Infinite Terrain Generation, Have you though about this or if not Infinite much larger than the current Sizes available? Mixed Biomes, So having more than one biome in the world? I know currently we do have Tropical and another to which I forget that we are able to get in a single world but will we see the possibility have having possibly all the biomes in a single world? Cave Generation, Will we see the possibility of Caves being in the terrain generation? This actually could open up the ability to have Ore Veins in caves systems giving a large source of Ore's to obtain, Cave dwelling creatures and ores only obtainable at deep depths. Flat World Gen? So flat world without water for creative/map creation stuff.

  17. It would be great to have some help and info about items and blocks in game. Its difficult to guess where to find some of these items, or how to do some important blocks. Picking up random things from ground, crafting everything and watching if you could craft something what you actually need is little annoying. So something like encyclopedia of blocks in Ylands would be very helpful.
  18. First of all, great game. There are some performance issues (which will be resolved in future I believe), but mostly the game is bugless. Now, onto feedback thing. The terrain tools need to be all in 3D, including flatten/paint/smooth ones. The current ones would be fine if the terrain would be a heightmap one, but it isn't (which is great, by the way). As it is now: The flatten tool fails to work properly if there are empty (air) voxels between the level you try to flatten the ground to and the terrain above.The material paint tool is hard to aim properly, even in first personSimilar to paint tool, smooth tool is hard to aim properly AND it's very hard (to the point of impossibility, although I think you can agree that there are no impossible things, there is only lack of skill needed to complete the task) to smooth out layered terrain, like e.g. when sculpting (example being dragon shown in the trailer, although I don't know whether it is terrain work or a prefab)As a Unity game developer myself (won't plug my game here, even though it also does low poly untextured, unless specifically asked by the devs/mods), I'd like to thank you for creating such easy to use and powerful building system. As a person who wants to do something similar in the future (although in more realistic setting), i.e. building from single building materials, such as bars, planks, bricks, etc., instead of slapping prefab walls, floors, etc. like e.g. in Rust, I'd like to ask you if you're using some tricks like combining meshes or if those are just freeform prefabs connected by nothing. Finally, one thing I'd add to the building system would be more kinds of bricks. Or at least ability to select material of one. Those sandstone ones can easily get boring, we need clay and stone bricks (and different kinds of stone). So far you've made great progress and I wish you best of look.
  19. When trying to smelt 'Iron Ore' to produce 'Iron Ingots' they show up as if they are smelting with the 12s next to them but they do not smelt nor does the time count down next to them. output_log_smeltingfurnace.txt
  20. I've only just picked up Ylands so I don't know if this is an established or well-known issue, or even a feature, but I had a look through the other posts and didn't see anything similar. I'm trying to build a house on stilts on (over) the beach. I get some logs and place them vertically in the water, sunk one block into the sand, then rows of horizontal logs for bearers across the tops. I go to get more timber from some trees only a few metres away; when I return one of the posts is gone. I assume I missed it, and am replacing it when a bearer disappears, this time while I'm watching. Are the logs being damaged by the water? Is the sand the problem? Or is this just a bug?

After Interaction with campfire to produce some food is interaction with other object disabled. 1 Start game 2 create campfire 3 interact with campfire. click produce any food and quit the menu 4 try to use some tools - interaction with other objects are disabled Build: 0.01.11067 Unfortunately that can't be reproduced with 100% success. Same issuse apears with - Tanning rack. Im going to try to investigace that issue to find more information.
  22. Custom survival yland was started as tutorial map. I wasn't able to reproduce it second time, but roughly these are the steps I made before: started the gamedeleted all previous ylands (including tutorials)selected survival mode, setup the new yland mapwas spawned in a water and all the tutorial stuff was generated around even if the terrain was randomly generated
  23. After try to place torch on the ground (TAB pressed) torch cannot be placed. Also it happens to bug mouse inputs and is impossible to change active slot as well as interact with items on ground.

DXDIAG report To gather a DXDIAG on your computer (Windows 8), please follow the steps below: Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard You will see a Run box in the lower-left corner of your screen Type dxdiag in the text field Click OK This should load the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. Then choose "Save All Information", save the file to a location on your hard drive and then attach that with your reply. It can happen that you might be asked to provide the game version (you can see this in the left bottom corner in the main menu in the game) or your save game file (stored under Steam\userdata\<your_steam_id>\298610\remote\SaveGames) If you do not want to post out publicly that information, feel free to send @Nikki Severin or @Aleš Ulm a private message with your files.
