Can"t flatten a specific area for some reason with shovel

Hello,

i'm trying to flatten my place but for some reason i can't flatten that spot, i'm using iron shovel.

I'm trying to trick the game by using the iron pick then after i use the shovel to make progress.

I have had occasion when I had to remove the ground, pile in new dirt then flatten. Especially if there is rock. Same thing if I put in ground but there is a void left below.

Did you try in first person mode? The aimspot seems to be offset in 3rd person. First person digging is also very helpful if you want to remove little leftovers hanging in the air.

I generally lightly use the spade, then the flat shovel to fill in.  

And those hang in the air bits make me twitchy.

Yes i do, but it doesn't change the bug
