chopped trees falling through the ground

I have yet to see  the 0.8  update in my corner of the world, but  on  discord chat one player  on  our DS is  reporting   that they tried to chop  down 3  trees ...and the  trees fell through the ground. If this  continues to happen when i  eventually  get in,  expect the "logs"    (no pun intended!

Might pay to  have a look  ....

Baz  Foobar  had it happen ..and so  did  someone else onhisserver ...i have not   experienced it so  far  ( touch wood!)

My problems were mostly unchoppable trees, I saw one tree fall halfway through the ground but it was still an unchoppable situation.  PeteMoss was the player who saw three trees in a row fall below the world upon cutting down.

I had that happen during the brief time I was on Foobar's test server on 0.7
