HIGHLIGHTS

  • Friends list - add players to your friend list. See what they’re currently playing and join them or invite them to your game.
  • Chat system - now you can talk to people close to you in the game world, send messages to everyone in that game (Game channel); to specific players whether they are in the same game, Main Menu or even the Editor (Whisper channel); or to all members of your clan (Clan channel)
  • Clans - create your clan today! Let your friends join and chat together. Clan functionality will be gradually expanded.
  • New terrain generator - we’ve added the first iteration of our new terrain generator. We are still tweaking the system, so there can be places where the generated terrain looks less than ideal, but that will be fixed. This new generator will allow us to create interesting and unique terrain features, which will make maps much more interesting. Please note: options for generating ylands in Creative mode were adjusted to the new system and as such, some options were removed (e.g.: terrain type, land count, etc.).
  • Advanced object grouping - organize your objects into neat groups. Take advantage of performing operations with parenting objects, saving a lot of time and effort.
  • Dynamic objects - set objects (or whole groups) as dynamic and then animate their movement and rotation via new animator game logic objects. Use platforms to smoothly transport characters. Preview your animations via Test animator option (default: F7).
  • New costume - what could it be...

Awesome! Finally I can add animations on bunch of objects at once! It will open so many awesome creations.. So many QoL updates, I think it's time to play Ylands again.. ?

Thanks for teh update. I wish you add dark theme in the game. That invetory/crafting brightness hurts :(

Nice addition. I've already sent some request to those I know from here (and those I managed to guess their in-game name). I have no intention to join any clan right now but it's nice to still be able to "add them".

Looks really neat! I don't really play multiplayer but it seems like it will help the chat. The old messages disappeared too quickly.

This may be the biggest feature of this update to me. Because this will really change how the game is played in singleplayer Explore. We are no longer tied to the beach (who would do the job of terraforming the mountain in the middle when he starts?) and we are able to find nice fields anywhere. Also, I really enjoy some of those cliffs right at the shore. I will definitely build something around those in the future! There is one thing that I'm not entirely sure about though. Flora (or at least flowers) now spawn in clusters. In very sharply visible clusters. I don't think it looks natural or nice. It feels weird to see the section where only this one flower grows then walk a few steps into another section where only that one flower grows.

This will be tested out today but I already can't wait to see what others will be able to do with it!

This is great! It looks like a very comfy skirt, it acts like a skirt and no weird clipping is visible. I tested it thoroughly, I don't generally trust loose clothing items in games :P Now add a poncho!

Hi, now you have to break one of them and then click "Add to group"

Merging is not supported anymore. One of the reasons is that you might reference groups in script. It would not be clear what should happen if you merge groups? Which one will merge to the which?

Ah too bad, is there then a way to break multiple groups at once?

YLD-17296    Fixed - Trading issues: two players trade when their package are full. The item they choose is inconsistent with that added into the trade bar. 
YLD-17360    Fixed - Trade: Trade breaks if you offer 7 items and scroll.
YLD-17603    Fixed - Construction mode: turning construction on will delete all blocks - ship or car cannot turn
YLD-17615    Fixed -  Camera: Horse: Camera remains focused and following the horse after respawn, if you die while riding a horse
YLD-16905    Fixed -  Boats: Wooden raft behavior is broken
YLD-17250    Fixed - VS: changing animator/movement instruction in the end of previous instruction bug

Did anyone experience the campfire bug I mentioned after today's hotfix?  Also when you die on a different island, you end up spawning at the first spawn island, is that a bug also?  Or something that was changed in 0.13 that I missed.

If you die on a Polar island (snow and polar bears) it will not respawn you on that island, but back at the very first spawn.  Other kinds of islands should respawn you somewhere on that same island.

If you are seeing something different, that could be a bug.

For local SP, the answer to that question looks like it is "no" they won't auto-fix.  Any ships already damaged will probably have to be repaired or deleted in the Editor, or dismantled inside a protective barrier.

a  bugged ship apparently  cannot be   dismantled /destroyed .... i tried to deconstruct one   with   both a  annihilator ..and a  demo hammer  without  success ...  so crafted another ship and pushed the  bugged  hull  entirely  inside a   pb .... and  again  no success in  trying to dismantle  or  destroy.  Looks  like these hulls  are as indestructible  as  some of  my  cooking  failures!:D

I was able to delete my ship in the Editor (after clearing out the chests, of course).  It looks like it also deleted the parts of the ship that had teleported several hundred meters away, and I was able to start over on a new ship.

I don't envy the clean-up for those with public servers that have been affected.
