Right, I'll try that either today or when I get back home tomorrow.

Sad to report that this did not work; still cant paint the wedges or slopes. Any other tips?
-
Yeah I think I might be able to pull it off, at least hoping so, would be nice to get it done.
Now that I actually think about it, I will try it now instead of tomorrow, I have some time to spare.

Thanks man, I'll try that tomorrow since its quite late here already, and its in the explore mode.
Also the ship is somewhat based on s/s relandersgrund and s/s storbrotten, old Finnish lightships. -
So, I got back to Ylands from a long break, and I started building a ship. When I was building the bow i noticed while placing wedges, that the wedges i was trying to place didnt "lock on" to the already placed wedges, and instead went through to the outside of the ship. I just brushed it off as me being a bit rusty, and thought nothing more of it. Then it was time for painting the damn thing, and unexpectedly, i cant paint the wedges or slopes. It was very annoying to build the ship in the first place because the transparency thing, and now i can't even finish it. Really sucked the motivation out of me. I have been thinking of ways to solve this like updating back to the previous version, but I'm scared it would break the game even more. Hope I explained it well enough, sorry if I didn't. Also the screenshot is probably quite useless since its only a half painted ship, but those wedges and slopes I am unable to paint.

Now, I know this is a known issue, but the known issue says: "Raining inside buildings occasionally" but when in a ship, it is a 100% chance of snow and water coming in the ship covering everything in a layer of snow. And as I said it happens everytime when it snows/rains anchor being up or down. I also have no clue if this is even fixable, but I sure hope it is.

Oh well, but if they get it fixed some time soon that would be great too!

5 hours ago, FVin said:I have these exact issues with ships in multiplayer as well. As a client, warping and rubber-banding whenever moving through the ship is horrible (although fine for the host), often resulting in being dropped into the ocean into shark infested waters. And this is just in a two-player game.
I've also experienced the ship being reduced to a black hull when moving out of rendering range of it and returning (common when exploring a new island). I usually have to leave the game and return to get the ship to appear normal again (which, of course, then ends up erasing my map).
To pass the night more quickly my friend and I both slept on the beds on the ship. When I attempted to leave the bed my character teleported out far into sea with a falling animation, and no ship in sight. A few moments later I was luckily returned to the deck of the ship. That made me pretty nervous about using beds on ships. I already have the issue of losing my body and/or hair whenever I use a bed elsewhere in a multiplayer game (which requires a reload to fix).
I'm really hoping these multiplayer ship bugs will be worked out in the upcoming update.
Yes, it is fine for the host, but if you are playing on someone else's server, you bounce around like crazy..

I know right, but it is super annoying when you are trying to walk downstairs, and to the deck, and are about to jump off the ship, and boom you are back upstairs..

Yeah, but it does it when the ship is not moving too..

So yeah, I am playing with my friends, and when i walk on a large ship that I have built, I kinda just bounce around and teleport to random spots on the ship, or sometimes out of the ship. Also, basically everytime I walk away from the ship and unload the chunk and do stuff there, when i come back to the ship, it shows only the hull of the ship, and it is "painted" black. then when i walk on the ship, my character just freezes in the position i got to the ship. It really is annoying, and would love to get these bugs fixed I can send some screenshots when it happens, it won't be hard to duplicate...
