    At this moment there is no way of running the dedicated server on Linux. The only option you have to do so is by running the dedicated server in a Windows VM. This is what I did. 

    This doesn't work great as Ylands dedicated server is unstable and resource intensive even when running in optimal conditions. Combine that with the extra resources required for running Windows as a VM. It is a big stress on your server even if you have good hardware and lots of free resources.

    Hello everyone!

    I just got Ylands yesterday and I am super excited about it. I just can't stop playing :D haha. 
    The game is so cute and there is so much to do! I love it! I came to the forums to read more about the plans for this game and to meet the community. 

    So my name is Hidde, I am 31 years old and from the Netherlands. I have been playing games for most of my life and love exploration / survival type games best, especially if they also have multiplayer.
    Beside gaming I also like to tinker with my little homeserver and do a little programming. For my job I repair airsoft replicas (yes it is an awesome job).

    I am very interested to see where this game goes and look forward to see some of your awesome creations in game!
