I'm an old gamer who likes building games. My previous game I played was robocraft with over 3000 hours logged. I hope to spend even more in this game. Lets do our best to make this a friendly and informative community. ~Jake

Naval combat is way too fast and limited to sniping with a cannon from distance, to two shot anybody.
It wastes a lot of fun opportunity for boarding, sniping down cannons for disarming, etc. Approaching somebody with that intentions, would just end up sinking yourself due to dieing in two shots. Can't you just armor the ship?

I see a lot of post saying the ship is too weak but in my 100 or so hours of play I never even seen a crack on my ship. is this because of some kind of pvp stuff damaging your ship? How would I even go about damaging a ship under normal use?

I posted this exact idea with different title a few hours ago. glad to see others thinking the same thing.

The large ship has all that space in the hull going unused. Building my ship would be lot easier if there was already a space enclosed from the elements to put my forges and what not. Also it just makes sense as that is how ships work in real life.

I've gone in the save editor and the ship's entity box is massive, so I'm guessing the computer teleported stupidly far away, but I can't even find it by flying in the editor. Losing 6 hours of progress is not very encouraging.
OMG! this exact thing happened to me yesterday. I came here just now to see if anyone else had this problem. Worse yet is that it is a common spawn at sea so many people are likely to encounter this bug.

Steam Engine and Helm placement post Dec 19 patch

this fixed it for me as well but it is still a bug that was not there before. however the devs did fix the first person view pushing the boat around...though created a new bug in the process. imo it's a less annoying bug so i call it a improvement.
