I'm encountering the same, auto stacking isn't always 100% working. Also, when you have a stack of 80 iron ore and you pick up 30 it will become 80/30 instead of 100/10 which would make more sense

Ok now that I have read the post there is no PW... however I still cant get into the server.
Heya! The server currently crashed due to a known bug. Also, this weekend I will be massively upgrading the server from a 2,4ghz shared CPU vps with 12GB of ram to a fully private dedicated box with our own 4ghz quad core with 32GB of ram. Expect some MAJOR performance increase! I will as always keep you people up to date on when it's ready

Maybe make it possible to place the car engines on boats to do this? Disadvantage would be fuel consumption ofcourse

It happens quite often, reboot your server and it will be fine usually.

I'll add one to it: for some reason my servermonitor is using 50+% CPU whereas the actual server stays around 25% which looks weird, seeing how less the server monitor does.
Also server performance is really low since last update, picking up stuff takes about 5 seconds every time.

Same. Sometimes literally loading for 30 minutes fixes it. Also the occasional server stucks still happen, especially when you pick up some items from the ground at those prebuilt settings/buildings.

I opened 2 random ports, it have to be different ones though! I picked 3789 and 3790.

Playing on a Server with a few friends and we missplaced something in our house and now its unremoveable... its quite wierd to be able to place but not remove you can grief by placing blocks tooI pointed exactly this thing out already indeed, it's reverse grief And with all the explosives you can make you can still grief pretty hard

It's a (temporary?) feature to prevent griefing in multiplayer! I recommend you make some potato grenades as they do very little damage and are perfect to destroy blocks you want to remove Be aware that those blocks won't drop anything!

If you place anything in freeplace mode (V) make sure it is touching the boat, don't drop it onto it

There currently is a finite amount per world! If you play explore it's about 5 to 8 islands I believe. Birds high in the sky travel from island to island, so by following the birds you will reach new islands. They are usually not that far away but they start rendering when you are pretty close. Making a map will definitely help you!

Explosives! I've tested all explosives and have found the strength of the potato grenade to be the lowest. It's the easiest way of destroying a very small amount of blocks at a time without too much area damage. DO NOT use this on a boat though as you will probably damage the hull which can't be repaired at the moment! Also don't try with gunpowder kegs, bundles of dynamite or hand grenades as this will blow up a lot more than you like

that is cool too, even with a straightbow i found it was challenging (well, i guess i'm not that great a bowman in the game as it turned out..).
like it a lot so far!
I've found simple melee items and dayz style sidestepping to work great! Stone hatchet should take them out easy

Thanks for the responses Ales! It was nice to see you on the stream A few more questions: what fuel will the cars use? Will we have to refine our own oil? Also, will those engines be usable on ships as well?

Hello,
I'm trying to make a workaround for animals not respawning currently but it's not really working. I've made an event listener which listens for the destruction of an animal type. It should then have a delay of n seconds upon which it will spawn an animal. However when the spawn animal is selected in, all animals of the type you're listening for become invulnerable and lose their collision. Shooting on them with a gun doesn't work, as it does shoot but doesn't consume the bullet.

1) Did you set the parameter for a shortcut to the game or the launcher? It needs to direct to the launcher
2) This probably has to do with point 1. If you did do point 1 right, hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete, go to processes and check your islands process. It can take a few minutes to load depending on the power of your server! As long as the ram is still increasing it's usually still loading

I haven't seen any option to forward the ports inside the game...
Port forwarding is usually done in your router! Google your router type + port forwarding to find a how-to. I'm not sure what port Ylands uses, gotta have a search on the forums.

Yep! If you are playing in creative mode you can use the annihilator (BUT DONT ACCIDENTALLY DESTROY THE BOAT HULL!!!) to remove the ship helm, the ladders and the anchor lever. To operate your ship you do need at least a helm, I'm not 100% sure about if you need a lever as well. If you want to move them in survival I would use a potato grenade as this does very little damage to the boat hull. Be careful that you can't repair the hull and when it has 100% damage it will sink.
