@bojo2736 look, i love to create things, thats true. but i dont love it for creating things as primary feature, only for using a exploration mode(!) as a "testsite" of them. if i would, then i code a software or plattform myself because i dont need a exploration mode in ylands then. the next thing im asked for is the much harder focus on the editor, not the gameplay experience itself. i dont know how much games and what for games your playing for but for example, space engineers was the same at first. the devs built only a plattform and brought a workshop into the game. over years - no new updates comes into the game, no active exploration or gameplay support (core features). then after some years, a group of content creators released a mod for space engineers with planets. the only thing what the devs had to do was, put any creations from the creators into the core game, without knowledges of the creators theyself and selling a bugged feature as they own and as "the big update". the joke is, most of the creators was gone to empyrion because this game launched in open alpha at same time. more things about that stands under NDA, so sry for my cut here. what im try to telling you is, that i hate it, if devs only create a plattform and let the community build the core features of the game only. as creator you know what i mean with that hopefully. every structure and building needs reallife time, creativity and fun and complete new players are thinking the exploration mode is a exploration mode and not a testside for user created things. shortly: the exploration mode is not that, what it could be. @Adam Snellgrove iam not worry! but i only see, that your team only works on features for the editor, not on features for the base-game on exploration mode! pls dont be scared or angry about me if i told you but, the exploration mode is not a seperate thing normally, but the editor will so. i love the work by the team and the idea with ylands. but the core gameplay of the exploration mode are definitly missing because the higher priority of the editor. pls work on this issue in 2020. -

ok if they will be so, iam out and finished with ylands. standalone game-creating plattforms are enough on the market. im looking back to other games who only creates a plattform and import scenarios or content from the own users to the base game, only for making business with creations from other guys inside the community. if the community or "creators" brings no more content or aren´t interesting for creating things anymore, the game will be rapidly stopped in development from one to the next day. i know how this business-strategy works. so many guys wants to buy a key for ylands because they´re thinking its a game, not only a place for scripting and creating. normally, this are secondary features, not a primary thing. looks on empyrion. you can build your creations in creative or play a scenario seperatly. the main gameplay is the survival, where you can randomized invade. same with ATLAS who has much of problems, but a base-game are included. editors are seperatly. whats not happen in ylands. the first thing you have to do is, going in the editor, build your content, eventually you can test it out in exploration mode (wich is seperatly for 15USD/€ buyable for new players) or make a own scenario and thats is it. 6 islands on exploration mode are availible, the most content are from the content creators, who are thinking its a cool thing for creating things, only because the devs hasn´t bring a based game with it, but a editor with high-quality features. i love ylands but thats definitly frustrating me. i dont play ylands primary only because the editor or scenarios who are making from the community! ... sry for this statement but iam only shocked actually. definitly shocked about your answer. pls dont missunderstanding me. i love community creations (favorite is P1 Gaming ❤️ ) . myself iam a content creator with 17 years of experience too. but the large problem is the missing core-game and this with a dev-team by bohemia. bohemia interactive standing for high-quality games, how i remember. not for a studio who only creates plattforms and stopping development after how some indi-studios. -
this is why iam a littlebit confused "isnt the end, its not even the beginning of the end but rather the end of the beginning" .. this means "we arent in EA anymore but now we are in EA" XD this is whats them calling me.

sooo guys, @devs atentione - feedback incoming! !☢️ 1. Gameplay in Exploration mode you have no real target. ok its a sandbox but actually you drive only from one to another island 6 times, build and fighting against animals thats it. encounters are rare. i can read in the changelogs something about the possibility for skripting AI but i cant find much of them directly in the exploration gamemode <- tested in 31 savegames with different generation codes 2. Content the next problem is the ressource gathering and the designs of each construction table. they have to rework - definitly. it would be cool if we could get a real techtree or "sciencetree" where we can see what we need for crafting things. a "age-system" is the next step. actually we play in the "pirate-age" while spawning airplane crash-sites on the map and driving with cars to them in a dangerous free world. totally crazy, i hope you understand what i meaning. 3. Content Differences next one is the value and the size of each yland. before last update you got 12 ylands. now 6. why are the map size not sizeable? and why is each island too tiny for real exploration? castles? i miss them too. same with npc factions who are fighting each other. NPC ships and a better ship/cannon control for the own. scenarios? how many content creators are in the community? 5? 6? and they have to build large scenarios because the game itself hasn´t key features wich will be important as included features in the exploration mode? rly? hopefully i dont missunderstanding the game! a single creator plattform only for scenarios with a 12 or 14€/USD seperate Exp(-erimental)loration-Mode - guys, that cant rly be this game?! Arma2 and Arma3 is better then ylands actually because they have the keyfeatures inside. (havn´t play the new DayZ DLC yet ) the next thing is the blueprint creation-tab for easier BP creating in the editor a mirror-mode and more building parts for the ships (not structures! S H I P S!) - where are this things? with 1.0 the potential gameplay is changing normally. thats what i can see actually is a potential question about the lifetime in the future of ylands! pls, dont scrap this game! if you need more team members for better work, stole them from the Arma-Team! i love ylands but actually it makes not rly sense for playing. -
this is the problem ism ask for @devs pls add a "blueprint creation" tab or option into the editor for easy blueprint creating! this handy dandy with the camera is a hoax. its easier for BP-Creators and new players in creating content for the game

i dont meaning primary NPCs on ship but also they will be cool (btw the ships have to be bigger before its gonna a lag-party on a galley XD because the missing space) but cannons who could shooting by friends or the captain while be on the steer will be a very nice part of the game! (or specific cannon types who get this options) we could place a "ammunation-chest" on the ship and specific cannons where can be filled directly by the chest with cannonballs while they can be fired and controlled directly from the steer. this opens the option for implement NPC pirate ships eventually with "unlimited ammo-chests" for them too the only thing they needs is a targeting-system for the captain who controls the ship hows ATLAS or AsassinsCreed:BlackFlag in that way. (pssst, pls dont forget the "blueprint creation tab in editor first" ) btw - the pictures are from ylands i love this game so hopefully you (the devs) expand the exploration mode overtime.

true, most actually features we have access since day 1, will get a pay2play aspect in the next update. this is a large problem for new players. (in adv. ylands are only just about 80 guys whore actually playing by steamcharts actually) but the upcoming payable exploration mode isnt for guys, who have alredy access to the game. this is important for know that. so you will not pay for the exploration mode if you could play it yet. however, im thinking the game is shooting down himself with that idea. the game dont need editable content for the editor (because and but a "blueprint creation tab" would be nice ) but more directly EM content for playing alone or with friends - to do quests or shipping around the world building stuff, npc enemiehardcoregameplaydingens, for getting more action in this gamemode. not a gameplay "experience" by content creators only. im with you, that the EM (exploration mode) is too lowbob for multiplayer and the mini-games get not large interests by the community. you have no real target what you have todo into the game because the missing balance. Ylands could be able to be a good alternative to ATLAS (the game i mean) but it isnt actually. ylands works stable but thats it. but anything of these facts, the game is in early access actually and this is why i answered on your comment, so that the devs can read my own and personally problem with ylands today. the next update comes about next week. im thinking and while were waiting for, we just can only hope, that the update brings more directly content into the EM. so id looking into the beta, and yes we get much more new animals, npc creating, a new ship ect... but for me personally, it isnt very much for calling it a "big update". but ok - for the future what is that meaning? the next update is on the way. in future i hope the devs will bring more directly content into the EM not only to the editor. how i said at beginning - the game are only playing about 80 guys by steamcharts actually. thats not very much for such good game hows ylands. @devs pls orientate your team into the way from another game hows ATLAS (because the content, not the buggy gameplay) and fillup the EM with more life in future.

i know how it works and it is the only way for creating blueprints actually. but now try to make blueprints in exploration mode from ships while youre swimming in the water. or what happened with that, if your structure is too high for creating a blueprint with your camera? you have no "blueprint creating mode" or first person sight for mapping the structures easly. cool will be a tab in the editor, where you can create directly own spawnable blueprints for the exploration mode and a better blueprint creating setup for the camera ingame. actually you can save compositions and groups as spawnable "blueprints" in the editor, but not ingame directly. this is my issue and for new players too. the most guys want to play the exploration mode directly and build they own blueprints in the editor, if they know how the editor works at first. actually it is too much work for creating own creations only for spawn them as blueprint into the world, MP or SP so you need a rework of the blueprint creation system before. and i know what iam speaking about:

heyho, someone knows, if the next update brings npc-ships and more humanoid npc gameplay into exploration-mode, eventually? ~editor is fine but not anyone´s thing

Hi my friend and i have some ideas. our first suggetion are a "Techbench" and a fully techtree because the machines and overview of "aged based items (actually, so you have always to look into the wiki and not anything can be found on it.)-next suggetion are: Tanks, Planes, Submarines (1.WW)etc.. Wagons, Cannons - both who can carried by horse, more 3D ship parts (for these guys who aren´t the best ship creators ), balanced recipes of the guns(the musketball and pistol recipes, are a littlebit too difficult), eventually upgrade options for cannons or machines into the next age -> Catapult ->UPGRADE-> Artillery OR Foundry ->UPGRADE-> Adv. Foundry-balanced damage on the enemies and every weapon. -Blueprints .. definitly. if players can build in creative some ships or small houses, who can be placed on a multiplayer game - it would be awesome! -linked Cannons -- if you are playing with only 1 friend, you dont need an ship fleet ingame for managing. you are controlling the sails and the ship, while you friend are fishing or using only 1 cannon what is a littlebit ineffctive.-please integrade a small backpack or a container for ores! the inventory are too overfilled if we go farming -new map-system! a rly large point because you have to change the overview of the terrain rendering. we´re missing waypoints, a compass as item, a sixtant and a spyglass for discovering new islands. the map have to sync always the actually position on the island!-Ages... actually you begin in the "Discovery Age" ingame. This are a very nice idea! so please expand this idea into the next round. So we could see (and understand it right) are the items and machines based on the Age who you are. This means:"Discovery Age" (where you are a survivor and small Settler),"Colony Age"(where you are a Colonist or a King of a small Fortress and City in medieval),"Pirate Age"(where you discover newer lands, "be the guy of sea - arr! (((if you understand ))) ),"Independence Age"(where you are a light modern Guy for expansion in the indep. Wars),"1. World War"(where you are a highly rated modern Guy for defeating your country against enemies with high technology such modern warships, modern artillery, tanks, planes and subs) thanks for reading and player feedback about this ideas
