Question about ship building

Is there any way to remove the steering wheel that comes default attached to the Ship/Large Ship variants?

Yep! If you are playing in creative mode you can use the annihilator (BUT DONT ACCIDENTALLY DESTROY THE BOAT HULL!!!) to remove the ship helm, the ladders and the anchor lever. To operate your ship you do need at least a helm, I'm not 100% sure about if you need a lever as well. If you want to move them in survival I would use a potato grenade as this does very little damage to the boat hull. Be careful that you can't repair the hull and when it has 100% damage it will sink.

Thanks, wish there was a way to do it without damaging the hull of the ship but the answer is much appreciated.
