Nope, tested it - made a new game and the problem still exists. Is there any answer from the devs regarding this issue? Some things to try or general acknowledgement of the issue so we know that we're not alone? <3

Me and my friend have exactly the same issue, started happening right after the last update. It might be, because we passed the 20mb line by discovering all the islands. That's just a theory though.
