hah! thank you for the advice, I've also decided to expand the front a bit, now it looks a bit more like a 17th-century warship which was more of the end goal...
it gets much harder to build as you pile more stuff on, glitches are far more frequent and I am spending more and more time moving it to new editor games as the controls keep breaking.

thank you!
I also love the bigger lads, but some of them end up feeling.... chunky, hence my attempt at a sleeker double deck.
for a progress update.
the interior is coming along and the front is now mostly finalized, deck improvements both above and below are proving to be a pain. still need to finish the interior, clean up the deck and sides,
the rigging, of course, will probably be the biggest headache.
Enjoy!

not quite what I meant but that sounds utterly terrifying.

that's really cool!

only a little update today, going away for the week so this will be last update for a little bit. nothing large changed on the exterior yet, some minor adjustments and duplicate block removals. begun cleaning up the inside with some interior work (yes it will be furnished beyond boxes and cannons). been looking a lot at model ships and realized that no self-respecting ship designer would put the big guns on top, lest they want to end up like the mary rose.
Sadly we don't have a medium gun available but at least the little ones give me more room to run around on deck!
lastly, if anyone has any colour recommendations i'd gladly take them.
< special thanks to zarwil, his section on boat making has been invaluable to me >

its a bit fickle this one. i found the best way to get past it is to load the composition into a new editor map and then name it properly there.

Thank you! Getting bends on ships is a nightmare, you can't copy and paste as it refuses to bond to the ship, and without fine numerical control over its rotation, I couldn't get the sides to line 100& up.

While the name may be a work in progress the ship is ....... also a work in progress.
My first foray into the community and workshop. Any and all advice/feedback is greatly appreciated.
At this point, most changes are surface level or getting too difficult on the editor so its a better time than never to share it!
More Schooner than battleship but spacious enough to be enjoyed by lovers of either.
QuoteVery proud of the front
She's a standard ship instead of her more popular larger cousins. This isn't to her detriment however as I personally feel the scaledown gave me less hassle with some of the bends.
<please bohemia give us a mirror function>
QuoteFast even at halfsail
1Quotethe rear
the rear name plaque has been left empty for.... obvious reasons, feel free to shove your own in there (7-8 stone characters will fit without edits)
She has a little hidden not so safe cache in the quarters but it has mostly been left bare for people to re-decorate as they see fit.
