The island i am currently on   has me battling non stop with wolves ...   in packs of  5 ..... i have  25  wolf pelts.!

I cleared out one  area,  by stalking around the pack with a crossbow and  gradually  getting rid of the majority   at a distance,  but as soon as i go to claim the    pelts etc... another one suddenly  appears out of   nowhere  requiring some   deft sabre work.

I then  search  the area and its  clear  .. go back to base and   unload the  pelts etc   come back to mine   ore nearby   and   yikes .. there.s another 4  wolves   in the area!

So far i  have  tallied  25  wolves  4 pumas and   6  brown bears  and i  know another 2  bears are lurking as they took off after i hit them   from a distance with the crossbow.

    No  land  sharks  ..yet  :D

Am siting with more leather than i have use for so i stopped hunting or killing if it does not attack me. Currently packing a pump action shotgun with 100 rounds in guardian armor so i could just wipe them out , but i can not get it over my heart to kill them for nothing. :/

  2. Maybe it is a dumb question , but getting zapped by your own tesla coil make any sense ?O.o

Was setting up a coil for the first time and the moment i put power to it it zapped the blue hell out of me.

Could we have something that mark it as player owned and not have it do that ..... and then extend it while we are at it to building block and workbench/ovens so we can remove or pick it up,

    big please dev's ?! :D

  3. I have found 3 large caves far under ground but only 3 mutated wolves appeared in one of them after i removed a lot of crystals. 2 huge caves was totally empty.

On one part of the island i am currently testing stuff out there is a lot of boars in the same are +/- 15 in another i find wolf after wolf after wolf pack. About 25 in total.

Has anybody found this to ?

  4. The glass sphere was something i thought i crafted but did probably in a previous map. The energy converter was also something i missed. Now everything is appearing. Thanks.

Just one more thing , it says the steam engine can be used on a boat, does it need to connect to a propeller or something ?

There's an icon on the bottom part of the crafting section of your inventory that you can click to show a list of all the things you need to craft in order to unlock further crafting recipes.

Its easily overlooked tho since its a very small icon.

It did not show on mine and i constantly check that i have everything in that section made, but am going to check now. :S

  6. Again the screwdriver.. i made all the tools as far as i now but this one as nothing needed it. Bad if you don't know you need to make something to unlock something you do not know exist.

My first trip deep into the caves was in fact to get the crystals (50) i needed for the armor. :P

  7. Will give it a try later. Have unlocked a lot of tech and just got my guardian armor, man that headlamp is just fantastic when exploring and fighting at night. Once i have a idea of how the ylandium tech (generators and engines) work i will start building my base.

You don't necessarily need the ylandium generator itself to provide power to things, you can also use Wind Turbines (depending on how much power you need you may need more than one) or engines (steam or ylandium).

Most likely you're missing either vacuum tubes (from the energy workbench) or the glass sphere (from the kiln, requires a glassblowing pipe from the forge) to unlock the generators.

Steam engine ?..... will have a look for that, but i do have the tube and the sphere already. Just build the ylandium refinery which needed the tube.

Another thought ...maybe it was the water depth?  Hull resistance is  less  when  going backwards....   perhaps there was a  shoal or something  and  eventually  you got up enough momentum to slide over it?

One  ship i built  was in what i though was deep water, but it was in a bay and there were shoals  around the seaward side  -took ages  digging a channel and fighting off  sharks ,but  eventually got  it into open water

xD Nope again. The ship was moving on its own as long as i did not touch the helm. I also looked under the ship and it was clear from the bottom, i have the shark bite marks on my but to prove it. :P

Hmm the  ship is not the"marie celeste"  by the way?  :D

..or the "flying Dutchman" xD...hopefully  Ane  will have an explanation/fix for you

Well i was thinking of testing a cargo load full of tnt on it. :S

As i stated it is working now after going through a lot of hoops, but there is a bug there sum where that they might like to look at.

perhaps  its something  to do with the  location of the helm? it might have to be on the actual deck as well?

Nope i moved it all over the ship and the helm works for the sails up and down as well as reversing. Like i said the moment the ship got to open water on its own (me not at the helm) i could take full contole of the ship from then on.

Silvercastle ...  is that  large  mast  on the   deck  or on additions above the deck?  It has to be on the actual  dect to  function..

It is on the actual deck, both of them. I added one now even furter forward. The ship here moved even here with one mast on its own, but stopped when i took control.

Please send us the following file: output_log and output_log_clean, you can find them in the directory \Program Files(86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Ylands\Ylands_Data

Here is my first post with the output, before i got the ship moving. Andre told me to add more sails and left it there.

  14. Added another large mast as advised, ship did not move.

Moved to front of ship and ship moved suddenly forward, ran back to helm to take control.

Ship stopped moving on taking hold of helm.

Released helm and moved to front of ship to shoot sharks and ship moved again out to sea.

Did not go back to helm and left ship to move away from beach.

Went back to helm and this time on taking controle i had full control of all ship movement.

  15. Ship masts must be placed directly on top of a hull, this was something I did not realise before building my first ship.

Would it be possible to allow for a mast that is higher so we can build more on the ship ?
