There is one. Go to in-game Settings, Feedback. There you can send us your reports ^^

That is quite obscure for most players (that never even open any forum). I think he was referring to a mechanism similar to the one in Subnautica (shown directly in the Escape menu and with the hotkey shown, F8 in that case).

  2. Just what the title says. It would be very nice to build inside the big ships (as currently they are a "solid" block of wood). It would add so much depth to the ships, and very cool gameplay elements. Got caught in the middle of the sea by a storm during the night? Take shelter inside! And without having to make supersized structures on the ship.

    Thanks!

I haven't ran into that problem yet but I have been playing just about everyday. How long till you start dying after not playing?

It was the next day, but I think it would take the same as in game when not eating.

  4. Hi,

Unfortunately, I do not know exactly how to reproduce this. I set sail for 1h with the raft (getting up to eat or swim/dive sometimes ). I found that the rowing animation was very rarely triggered (and it should row to both sides anyway). Additionally, sometimes the body of the player will disappear, being shown only the head. Other times, when jumping to swim / dive, and coming onto the raft, the player got stuck on the swimming animation. Even after taking control/releasing control, it would show as it was swimming. Had to perform other things to get unstuck from it.

Right. So I'm not quite sure if having an infinite amount of procedurally generated ylands is going to be a thing in the game, we'll probably talk about that in one of our Dev Diaries if that becomes a thing :)

And what about larger maps, is there anything about this on the roadmap as of now? If so, please give us some information :)

"talk about is the respawn after they die on a other Yland than where they started and need do the entire trip over again"

@A3_Melle Yes, we watch those as well :) Just as I said - we have some future plans where the spawning scheme as it worked until now will make sense and will result in an interesting and fun gameplay but it needs some other features that are not in the game yet. At the same time we want for the players to have more controls over the game settings but it will, as well, come at a later date.

We had a discussion about this and as a result, we decided for the time being to let players spawn at the yland where they died because we don't want the new players to get the wrong picture. To be honest I think that under normal circumstances the "punishment" for dying should really be more strict than running 50 meters back to where you died to get everything back because it takes away some of the thrill - but these are not the usual circumstances. Players can still die many times without being really responsible or without any chance of avoiding that - be it because of the bugs or still rather unbalanced combat. Also the navigation has a lot to be desired (although in few days you'll get your hands on a provisional GUI compass when sailing ships ) and because you still don't get to see other ylands in the distance, it can get quite difficult to find your way around. Because all of this it makes sense that we now make it easier for the players. At the same time, we'll still be working on some changes and improvements for future and I hope to share those with you soon.

Thanks again for your feedback - it doesn't fall on deaf ears :)

Just came across this topic through a link posted by A3_Melle, and have seen several other topics talking about this. Provided that it is a very relevant issue, why don't you pin it at the top with an intermediate status open for discussion?

As a lot of people do not extensively browse the suggestions forum, I think it would be great if there could be a list of important suggestions linked in the general discussions forum to get more feedback on the most relevant topic.

And from another EA (Empyrion), I have seen a great idea on how to approach such suggestions once you have a good idea of what is going on in most people's mind - just a very good survey-. Please check Empyrion's survey (they posted it as an announcement in the game Steam site), as it would be better than any explanation that I could provide:

    http://survey.empyriongame.com/

It is just a format suggestion, as I really liked the idea. Please keep this involvement in our suggestions! Love to see that you are around paying atention to our ideas :).

  7. Hi,

I just realized that sleepers are a thing in this game, and I hope it is due to EA and not intended.. I do not understand in a game like this, what point would have to be killed offline. Or that you can still getting hungry offlline! If you do not reconnect within X hours, you would die from inanition.

What are the plans regarding this "feature"? I hope the thing with the hunger is a bug, but I really think that this game should not have sleepers at all!

Not sure what you mean by "or get them procedurally generated." All the ylands are procedurally generated right now.

I meant exactly what the guys below said, that more ylands are generated based on a seed. Or at least a very, very, big map (with a lot more ylands) is generated, with that "magic trick" that when you reach the border of the map, you appear at the other side. With the current number of ylands and limited resources in them, the lifespan of a game is reduced a lot (even more in multiplayer).

  9. Hi,

This is no rust, but it seems that we have sleepers... Big issue for this game. I played on a server yesterday an logged of with full health and not hungry. When I tried to join, my charater had died due to inanition. And yes, your friend will take damage.

  10. Hi!

It annoys me a lot when  I punch my things by accident. Shouldn't we have a combat stance, so we only attack items when we really want to? Also, there is no way of telling how much you have damaged your property, or way to repair it. Are there any plans to this?

  11. Hi, bought the game on the release day on Steam, and I was quite thrilled about it. Until I set sail for 1h expecting to find more islands and found out that the number of islands was finite! That let me down big time :(. If I had found another islands after 1h voyage it would have been amazing.

Are there plans to include infinite procedurally generated islands? (or at least a lot of them on a very big big map)
