    Finding clay fast in Ylands!

Smart, I did not think of that Lel I went to the island once before, got clay, brought it back, had the tomahawk in hand when I logged off. When I logged back in I had the punch glitch and destroyed my bed and chest which held all my clay... so I dediced to do a video on my next trip

    Finding clay fast in Ylands!

I will say P1 Friendly PVE is much better managed than the official servers and the people are more active if you want to join us.

He says it runs well on medium which surprises me. Great value for a 100$ CPU/APU. What do you run Ylands on?
  7. A lot of people are concerned about the development of Ylands as a game. I totally understand the frustrations people are voicing. A lot of the fundamental multiplayer components of the game have been broken for a long time now. Lag and resets on servers are frustrating and being a server manager is even harder. Optimization is still a big need too with lower-end devices struggling. With the development team growing to 50 people and the new producer Iceman, from the very successful Arma 3, taking over I believe the dev team will crack it and get it done. This little game started in the Bohemia Interactive incubator program but it's now growing out of its shell. In talking with both Bohemia and Tencent I really caught the vision, that this is not only a game but something much greater.Bohemia is interested in developing a creator community were talented creators can earn funds by selling their assets on the workshop. When talking with them I envision a game that’s a platform for game developers, builders and creators of all sorts. I also hear that Tencent will be bringing this game to Universities as a game development tool. Right now it's still early days but I believe the future of this game is bright. I'd love to know what you think. Will this game become something great or is it destined for the ash-heap?

    Server Cleanup Utility!

    This gets my vote!

    Came Back

I actually agree with you, the UI is really confusing. Way too much going on for new users. Optimization has been limited but there is a reason for that -- they wanted to be feature complete before they optimize as optimization is the last step and it takes less work to put everything together and optimize then do so for one released bit at a time. Optimization is often a later step in the process of game dev. I think you may be thinking this game was further along than it is. Optimization started not long ago.

Is there any nice mini games?

Nice to see another P1'er pop their head Welcome to the ylands forum Most of the good mini-games are the ones you will play during the P1 party. There is one fallout game on the workshop that I found well-made.

That does not work for logics.

Ownership and the ability to share it a bit would be cool. Great idea!

Agreed! More content the better. These days devs work on games post-release and that work needs to be paid. The fear of people sharing decos may hurt sharing in general which I think is never good. There must be a solution to this however -- maybe the packs allow you to give so many away? Idk. Offline will be coming to the game later Skins and pets work great I think.
  18. Just wanted to give a big thanks to @Ane for organizing the Q&A. Some of the biggest revelations for me were: A mobile version of the game is likely coming after release & then potentially other platforms will get supported -- HYPED! The Q4 release idea is OFF the cards *phew* (glad about that) Mod support coming after release Interesting developer comments -- Maybe we can ask questions on these in this thread? @Aleš Ulm @Madamko @equieri @Berzeger & others, thanks for checking out our game Hope you enjoyed it! If you have not already seen it, this video is what we were suppose to be doing -- I mean I enjoyed trying to keep Oliver in jail but as we say in P1 -- that's a feature

    Thanks for the Q&A + questions :D

Water has needed help for a while We paint stones blue at this point to help Welcome I kinda love games on mobile too, being able to play them whenever with a touch screen is nice. P1 started on mobile sandbox games (Blockheads) and a lot of us are still mobile-only gamers -- I really hope it goes to mobile!

Oh and @kimbuck, @Chromedome2 and @MyPa553ng3r_P1 could you enlighten us with your thoughts on the microtransactions?

When talking with my clan we all love the pets. You pay one time and you get something cool and it does not give you an advantage over other players. However, when talking with people I got the exact opposite feeling about decorations. People disliked worrying about using them up. There were also some concerns about adding them to blue prints and comps and having them removed. I would say further community engagement on decorations could make them work but the fundamental concept would need to be changed. I also found that the active part of the Ylands community tends not to be so much against micro transactions as most gaming communties although the word itself has become taboo among PC gamers. Since most of us are adults we understand you too want to fund your project just as we work for funds so we don't have a problem with it. That may change as the game grows. I would ask active players like @bb cakes_P1 and @StoutCrusher how they feel about decos and how they could be improved or implemented better. All the best as always @Aleš Ulm
  24. We need a nametag off system for games where spys are required like this one:
  25. P1's @Oliver Hope_P1 has been leading a team to build a great little mini game. The idea is to defend the Chalice from being stolen by the other team. If a cop comes in contact with a thief the thief will be sent to jail where his teammates can free him. If all the teammates are caught then the cops win. The level has several interesting features such as a vent system which allows you to sneak around without being noticed. There's also a laser field which sets off an alarm a scoring system and much much more. Please let me know what you think about the music (composed by one of our own) the cinematography and the game idea:
