  2. I am curious as-to the minimum required specifications to run Ylands. I know @MyPa553ng3r_P1 runs it on the Ryzen 3 2200G which is amazing. What sort of PC do you have? How well does it run Ylands?

What does it take to run Ylands?

Gaming on a $100 pc is defiantly a steal IMO. I imagine you get a lot more crashes in early access though. Still, a steal for $100.

Ylands on PS4, Xbox & Mobile?

One of the big bombshells that the Ylands developer team released during the Ylands Q&A is that a version of Ylands for Xbox and PS4 is potentially coming. However, they are in no hurry. Their first priority is to fix up the game and after that they are considering a release on mobile. This makes sense since Ylands is made in Unity and Unity allows games to be quickly exported to other platforms. You may be asking yourself how they intend to do this since Ylands requires a high-end graphics processor to work right now. That of course is a good question however it's important to understand that we have not seen optimization come to Ylands yet. When talking to the developers day seems like their number one priority right now is to fix the game and make it great and then move on to other ideas later so I don't think we will see it anytime soon. Would you like to see Ylands come out for Xbox, PS4 or mobile? If so which one and why?

Ylands on PS4, Xbox & Mobile?

Yes, for sure, the bugs will need fixing before it's ported. I think a Nintendo Switch port would be awesome

  16. I'm going to be honest I never really got into Minecraft I usually play games when I'm pretty tired and I just found the whole system so convoluted by the time I got into it I just didn't want to deal with it. Between the different versions modpacks and all that was going on I found it to be quite user-unfriendly. In this respect I feel like Ylands is doing something unique and original. You don't have to put in IP addresses to find servers which makes it a lot more accessible to non-techie users. A lot of modification can be done without any actual mods at all which allows a person with a stock copy of the game to play and build a huge variety of mini-games. If these factors which gives me the idea that maybe this could become something bigger that I had originally envisioned. Back when I got the game I imagined it being a small game similar to Eco or Pixark or (now) Cardlife which would attract a niche community. However in talking with the developers I get the understanding that they're shooting for something much bigger. The in-game editor is already quite powerful and the fact that all of this is within the stock version of the game means that future updates will likely and power us to create even more content. It would be awesome to see a thriving creator community like the one that really got started in the early days of Minecraft. What do you think does this game have a lot of potential or will the bugs and networking issues hold It back? @Aleš Ulm @Ane @Madamko @Houp @Berzeger @equieri @Marci Magyar @bis_icemans_iceman am I on to the big vision you guys have for the game or is your vision different from what I tried to express here?

    Finding clay fast in Ylands!

It's really frustrating when you need just one resource to continue your crafting progression and it can't be found on your Island. More often than not this resource is clay. Clay is essential to building a furnace and a kiln and eventually moving on to a blacksmith station. In this video I show off a little trick I discovered to find clay quickly on any game. It's a lot faster than what most people try.

    Finding clay fast in Ylands!

Smart, I did not think of that Lel I went to the island once before, got clay, brought it back, had the tomahawk in hand when I logged off. When I logged back in I had the punch glitch and destroyed my bed and chest which held all my clay... so I dediced to do a video on my next trip

I will say P1 Friendly PVE is much better managed than the official servers and the people are more active if you want to join us.

What does it take to run Ylands?

He says it runs well on medium which surprises me. Great value for a 100$ CPU/APU. What do you run Ylands on?
  24. A lot of people are concerned about the development of Ylands as a game. I totally understand the frustrations people are voicing. A lot of the fundamental multiplayer components of the game have been broken for a long time now. Lag and resets on servers are frustrating and being a server manager is even harder. Optimization is still a big need too with lower-end devices struggling. With the development team growing to 50 people and the new producer Iceman, from the very successful Arma 3, taking over I believe the dev team will crack it and get it done. This little game started in the Bohemia Interactive incubator program but it's now growing out of its shell. In talking with both Bohemia and Tencent I really caught the vision, that this is not only a game but something much greater.Bohemia is interested in developing a creator community were talented creators can earn funds by selling their assets on the workshop. When talking with them I envision a game that’s a platform for game developers, builders and creators of all sorts. I also hear that Tencent will be bringing this game to Universities as a game development tool. Right now it's still early days but I believe the future of this game is bright. I'd love to know what you think. Will this game become something great or is it destined for the ash-heap?
