  1. Does make more work for server admins. Currently we have to manually edit in resources that get striped away. I've encountered griefers that'll try to destroy an entire crop so other players can't get it on an island.

If we had more tools to work with there'd be other options. I know the devs are aware of clever use of logics by server admins to reduce griefing and automatic respawning of resources and animals. In a single hotfix, the devs took that from us for exploration servers.

  2. Not sure if this was in change log, but it bears mentioning.

Time passes for growing things when sleeping? You got it working again? Sweet! No more having to run the game as dedicated just so stuff grows in singleplayer. No more waits got my cloth production.

And the fact that this works in multiplayer, too? I'm excited to play online again. Thanks for the fixes!

  3. I remember reading something about this in another topic.  basically, splitters split the power evenly to both sides.  you start with a turbine, the first splitter takes off a point, the divides 9.5 to each output.  the more splitters you use, the more you divide the power exponentially (that the right word?) so you have lots of wasted power.

using OR gates can help you comnbine the remaining power, but they too take up a point of total power available.  you'll have to waste some power recombining your energy streams, then sending them through another splitter just to power another light source.  it's currently messy, buggy, and you're far better off using quartz or ylandium crystals, or lanterns.

yeah, current energy system is a mess.  why a light source can't just take some of the power, like real electric lights do, I don't know.  unfortunately energy system isn't a priority in next patch, so it'll remain fairly broken for a while longer.

  4. Wow, we can cook food over a candle?

Was, was not expecting that but it works. Light it up, place it down without burning yourself, throw some raw meat on top. Best of all, no need to bash the campfire until it's gone or turn to Ash. Just pick up the candle and move on.

  5. Frankly the state of the editor needs change and heavy bug testing. We don't have access to features that exploration Maps put it. Distance between islands, generating multiple biomes, settings for regenerating resources for online servers, density settings for flora and fauna--and this is just the editor in its current state, never mind the glitchy energy system, inability to add logics for all saves, irregardless of game type, and the piles of glitches we still have to endure.

Devs, take the time to make custom maps worth putting the time into making. Give some thought to server hosts that wanted to personalize custom exploration Maps. To me the game won't be feature complete by August.

  6. There's plenty of textured survival crafting games out there. If the texture style, or lack of, isn't appealing, there are plenty other games to try.

I for one like the art style. I hop on top of the tree and looked out over the island, it was quite beautiful with the sunset.

  7. This might help everyone involved on a server.

To The Host, if you go into the editor to help out players that were victims of bugs and glitches, ask them to type in /unstuck 1 so they are right at the spawn point of an island. Each island has their own. Then you can use the go to drop down to check each island and look near the ocean where spawn points are always sets to find the person that is stuck. Location can also be edited on player avatars. Hope this is useful.

  8. There are many features that aren't even available in the editor which for use to make exploration Maps. I like to see some of those at least for Creative builds or even custom Island scenarios that do allow multiple biomes.

It is still currently possible to make a composition out of the generator before it has been placed and activated. This at least is one way to get around the limitation if creation is your goal on an exploration map.

  9. in singleplayer sleeping allowed seeds to grow without having to leave the game on while you go do something else.  in singleplayer. not sure if this was intentional by the devs, but why singleplayer too?  I understand multiplayer could have some limits with this, but did the day and night cycle get turned into just a lighting change and nothing else?  anyway upvoting this cause stuff doesn't grow faster when sleeping to keep with the time, we've had this before and I hope you can put it back.
