  1. I haven't tried to despond someone's inventory, but I'm not even sure how to check that it is empty.

I know the standard vendor NPC is spawned in at a certain time. It just needs to be assigned a label for Logic to interact with it. An action sequencer populates the inventory for the vendor. This may be less laggy overall.

Are you trying to preserve the inventory for each vendor, when a player interacts with it?

  2. First iteration of new mechanics can be underwhelming, but the devs are pretty active. I'm sure we'll also have other missing features from Scenario editor. The hotfix basically stripped the addition of custom NPCs for exploration games, and player made features that rely on game logics.

    Kinda feels like a step back. . . .

  3. In case this helps anyone, I've had the steam api message appear as well.

My virus scanner has an automatic sandbox mode. It kind of isolates the game from the outside, including talking to steam. Check your virus scanner to see if any type of containment or isolation is being done, as this could be the problem.

  4. We're all waiting on spinning flashing lights. Might also be a fun way of scaring off predators.

Perhaps if we get some spinner block or rotor, those spotlights will have more utility.

  5. The only solution I can see is using several splitters to get the power down, then use OR gates to add the remaining energy from each splitter back together, but each splitter will still take a point of power away.

This system needs a total revamp. Lamps only have an input node, no output to send remaining energy through the remaining grid, and that's not how electricity even operates IRL.

  6. If you're playing singleplayer, you'll be able to sleep the time away to speed up growing your cotton plants.

Bananas? Sounds like you're on a rainforest biome. Copper can help you make steam engines for your ship. Each would take 30 iron and 5 copper to make, but if you can tech up to it fast, you can leave the starting biome faster than making tall masts for your ship.

Many players just make the small boat, or even a raft to leave the island.
