You can press  "~" (Tilde Key)

*facepalm* I totally forgot you can do this to check the time. Either way, I find this kind of cheating and ruins the immersion of the game too. Definitely would prefer a craftable pocket watch for on the go and a grandfather clock for in my house

  2. I haven’t had the chance to really play with energy streams and so the wiki is kind of lacking in that area at this point. Although there have been a few other people that have contributed and added basic info to it which is great. I guess this will be the next thing I should focus on editing in the wiki. If anyone knows more about energy please feel free to contribute to the wiki with your knowledge!

  3. Totally agree with all of your points here. Especially since I used to take a quick nap just to see what the time was but now I can’t I have to guess what the time is if I’m underground and take my chances how long I have to wait before I wake up. I didn’t realise it was already morning when I went to sleep and had to wait until the following morning to wake again, so very tedious.

Maybe if we have a craftable clock to tell the time before we decide to hit the sack? It could function in a similar way to minecraft’s clock with that little sun/moon dial, it would fit nicely with Ylands

  4. Hey this looks like kimbuck's old base from the 0.6 server!

Yes, I agree. Players shouldn't be able to interact with anything really while inside another players PB area but I do believe the energy thing was fixed in the 0.7 update.

I'm not sure what caused it, since my game client don't want generate logs file so I can't compare it. (Can you tell me how to make the game client to generate logs file again?)
By the way. try to open ping command in windows CMD while you connecting, just to make sure no RTO happens.

I thought the log files generate automatically? Located in the steamapps folder. Otherwise if you run a DS then they are in the folders where you set the DS up.
Not entirely sure what you mean by using ping command, I've never done that before sorry.

I've never really looked at the log files, wouldn't even know what to look for really! Luckily I discovered going 1st person fixed the glitchy spinning issue. I still don't know why I keep getting the 114 error though, it's almost continuous!

  6. Ok just to add to this network layer 114 error ... I managed to log back in BUT ...

I got the 114 error again recently about 5 times on the same server within a 15-30 minute span. Although this time there's a massive game breaking bug when I logged back in after the 5th time. My character won't stop glitching and spinning backwards and forwards in one spot! I can't move in any direction really and I can't choose any of my items without it giving me the "I can't do that now message". The only thin that stops it is if I sit or lay down but then it starts again as soon as I stand up. What the hell is going on? Re-logging into the server hasn't worked and neither has any of the /unstuck commands. Please help! :(

EDIT: Changing to first person and back again fixed this for me! So confused :$ I have no idea what caused it other than having the 114 error just as I was about to shoot an arrow from my bow at a wolf and then logging back in

  7. Going to resurrect this thread because after starting a fresh explore game in 0.7 I was using the first person no-clip bug to search for caves. Something looked strange so I went into the editor to investigate. This is what I saw. Nearly all of the mutated animals were "floating" in the ground above the cave systems. There's a possibility this may have contributed to the OP's experience of not having many mutated animals in their caves. I'm not sure whether or not the animals will fall back down or not either, I'm not really game enough to check it out without gearing myself up first in case a bazillion mutants attack me from above!

  8. I think this may have happened to me in an earlier version of the game too but it happened again just recently.
I was flattening the floor in my underground base with an Iron Shovel and my stone chest next to my blacksmith station disappeared. I checked up on the surface and it had somehow clipped through the earth and ended up on the surface with all of it's contents intact.

nice addition ! so to meet some npc i have to start a new explorer game ? right ?

It says in the post that you need to create a new explore map OR download the composition from the workshop and use the editor to place it into an existing 0.6 world

” It is now possible to find NPCs(mostly to trade with) in the newly created Explore games. However, NPCs can be setup to perform much more - you can check out some of them acting as quest-givers in the updated Wild West game available through our Workshop. If you want to have at least some NPCs in your current Explore game, you will, at least, be able to get a vendor NPC Composition from the Workshop and put it in your game through the Editor.”

  11. I realise this is an older post but I think the 0.7 update has added that feature of jumping to a specific character in the editor. Maybe give it a go now and reunite  with your pals?

    • [Editor] Added "Any player" as a target of actions
    • [Editor] Added "Go to the character" option

  12. NPCs only spawn on new explore games. I haven’t had a chance to play on the new update yet but from what I read on the change log it sounds like you can load a scenario/game from the workshop and then load that in your editor to then place NPC vendors into your existing worlds.

Will this actually break the crops and drop their loot on the ground? I haven’t really played with vehicles much but I do remember you can run into animals and they will get hurt/die but not sure about plant life? Would be epic if it does!

  14. We won’t be sure until the day unfortunately, unless a dev is kindly enough to answer some of your questions beforehand! Hopefully they give us heaps of control over NPCs in editor and lots of options like whether or not it will be passive or aggressive, change its inventory and trade options, set paths and areas that it can roam, dialog etc etc. I’m assuming there will be an option to add NPCs into any world that you can load into the editor

I counted 83 with 41 on each side of the PB block.

I thought it was odd when I counted and found it wasn’t centred quite right, I might have to retest it when I’m not half asleep! ?

EDIT: I've gone back to test it and it appears to still be 82x82x82. Why they decided to have it off centre really confuses me. Here's some pictures to show how I counted it, I used baroque stone blocks which are 2x2 blocks wide, as you can see the pattern is not symmetrical.

Hope to get  discord working as soon as we can find out  where the  springs,  cogwheels and nuts go   in the   computer / monitor:D

I prefer  not   to use voice as  we have a  3  ring  circus   performing in  my house and add to it  the always loud  TV  ( to drown out the neighbors  heavy metal on his  stereo..) plus the other neighbors 3 dogs that think they can sing  to "Lead Zeppelin" ...   you cannot hear yourself  think here ...let alone communicate  via  signal  flags...:/

That's ok, I don't use voice chat either, discord is also a text based chat app too. It's just a good way of communicating with the server host if something happens or organising events with other members without the rest of the world seeing here on the forums
