I am still having so many problems with MP servers, I can't tell what is by design, what is a bug, and what is just effed up.
I have a plain explore map. Nothing fancy. I have been trying for two days to get on the server. My players also have been having problems. We have reported and given logs.
I finally got on the server, and there are bodies piled all around spawn. It looks like The People's Temple at Guyana. I'm pretty sure this isn't the aesthetic that BI is going for. In the pre 0.12 days, I would pop the file into editor, pull out the bodies, clean up what ever needed cleaning and re load the file to the server. Once a week or so. I can't get the map into the editor. I can get it to try to load, but it just spins and never loads in. I gave it about five min twice. Nope.
So this is what my spawn looks like. Inviting isn't it? I need to either be able to clean this up manually or something needs to be built in to clean up the carnage.
