Repair tool or repair boat option please

I've searched online and here and found 1 thing mentioned that in version 1.0 there would be a way to repair your boat(s).  My wife and I were trying to build a boat and had to bash out miss-placed blocks just to find the hull is getting damaged.  Could you please add a tool that can be made so one can repair the boat during the building stage and after, or have it so you can't damage the boat till it's complete?

 

Nothing much has been said about this since the what we want for v1.0 launch and it is now 1.1.0

I just ran into the same issue as well.  It would be great to have a little repair hammer or just use the demo hammer to repair as well and just use a percentage of the original materials of the structure.

We are working on a ship repairing system. Should be implemented hopefully soon, but not sure when yet.
