Hi, i think that crafting some items is pretty easy actually in exploration mode for two reasons.
First one is because items crafting is instantely, cook some crabs or smelt iron take some time but craft a ship hull or a big furnace is instantely.
This don't match with the spirit of the game.
I suggest to add a variable time based on item size and complexity.
Talking about furnace, let me introduce the second little problem for me.
This one is just about balancing, and it's the low need of materials to craft some items.
Craft an stone axe with 1 stick, 2 rocks and a rope make sens, like 80 logs/planks and 150 nails for the big ship hull,
but the big furnace take only 15 clay to be crafted while a little vase cost 4 clay, it's really strange because a vase is 10x smaller than it.
While i'm on this, i think the game need a workstation for pottery, because it's weird to be able to craft a vase which is colored and complex in some ways, only with your hands and some raw clay.
Oh and could you add animal fat and make it necessary to craft furnaces and other things ? It'll make the game more fun.
I just suggest too rebalance some crafts and add specifics workstations for some (like vases).
I really love the game, but little details like theses make me uncomfortable.
