yyzDaniel 0 Posted December 15, 2017 Is there a trick to building structures on your ship that will keep out bad weather? I have been trying to construct a cabin that will allow the use of fires in snow but to no avail.
AlexandrianSurvivor 0 Posted December 15, 2017 Is the reason because you're cold? if so, the cabin will keep you warm by itself. if its so you can cook, I can't help you. sorry.
kimbuck 746 Posted December 15, 2017 I fitted glass panels around and over the stern/helm but they do not at the moment keep out rain or snow .. that's been reported and is under investigation. However i fitted either side of the helm a brazier and enclosed each three sides with a slight overhang at the front.. the trick is when you see bad weather approaching, light the braziers then ... they will stay alight for a long while after the weather sets in, only going out in a severe blizzard. You cannot light them when its raining. Check out the thread about Bongo-bongo and others of mine to see some of my crazy, but practical ship designs
