kimbuck 746 Posted January 2, 2018 E = m x c squared, c being the speed of light and is constant....ie cannot change, therefore according to Einstein, E and m will change proportionally.. Also. faster an object travels, its length shortens ... known as the Fitzgerald contraction. And as an object approaches the speed of light, its mass increases....... So ...we now know why those damned seagulls are so destructive to boats! They are actually Huge, immense, birds, and the Fitzgerald contraction makes them look like tiny seagulls as they are travelling at near speed of light, therefore have great mass to deflect a ship when they hit it!
