  1. Well thank you for subscribing and see the interior of the house :D, yes you are right the walls are not that great don't really like the wooden cube/ wooden beam of the game for the house.

Well its alpha it's still doesnt have the variety of blocks i would enjoy.

@SamMonahan i will revisit sometime and fix it up :D

Thanks! NPCs are definitely planned and although I can't promise you will be able to do this with their first iteration, this is definitely something we want to have - the ability to use NPCs to create stories and interactive adventures (actually we are extremely excited about this - just to think how many unique games will the players be able to do with this...).

Nice, it's good know it's on the plans :). I will wait patiently for the great future of Ylands :P

  3. I know the game is still alpha and there's a lot of features that have higher priority and need more attention than the ones im suggesting down bellow. Just giving an idea for a feature down the line that would be interesting

Was wondering for people seeking a more challenging experience, if the server host or a workshop creator could have a slider for Creature Damage% and Creature HP%(i know that in workshop you can change hp of mobs for each one, im talking about making it a global variable).

I know now it wouldn't make that much difference, i am just thinking about it as a future feature, when there is more variety of creatures and the existence of npcs.

    For Workshop only:

    /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------/

Custom Npcs and Dialogue options, make it possible to script a dialogue with an npc, like a rpg.

    /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------/

It would make the game experience more customizable. The damage/health slider for creatures would make the game harder/easier, making servers more different from each other.

A mod in minecraft that i really enjoy made this possible, you could script dialogues and change appearance, stats inventory, ingame in this case. Here is a picture of the minecraft mod, CustomNpcs.

  4. The Underdark is a survival game where you spawn underground, and you progress your way up until you reach the surface. The Tunnel to get to the way to the top is huge, but you will find the necessary resources inside the caves to make the necessary tools to facilitate the process of making your way up the tunnel.

Each Dweller has 7 lifes, you come equipped with a set of hide armor, a stone pickaxe, health potions and cold resistance potions.

    Beware of the mutated creatures.!!

Here some tips to help you out:

Tip#1 - Each cave has resources like iron, clay, flint.

Tip#2 - Along the way up there are caves that have additional resources, for example Ylandium crystals, flowers and magic blossoms to make potions, coal, saltpeter, sulphur.

Tip#3 - Avoid the areas with cold, and use your potions wisely until you get to the upper caves you will not have igredients to make more

Tip#4 - Use the mushrooms as food

    Hope you guys enjoy it.

  5. When you quit the game it saves, if you want to host the saved game you just need to press continue on the main menu, and then press the name of the game you were playing.

So instead of going for multiplayer host like you did the first time, you just need to continue.

There is no way to save the game while in game that i know of, unless when its dedicated theres an option for that.

  6. I normally use existing Beads arts or existing pixel art, to make it in the game if i want to do a fast creation :P

I can also make pixel art from normal images it just makes it longer the time i'll have to put into creating it. In those cases, i normally pixelate the picture first, so i can get the feel of how many block i'll need, and then i just make a grid on top of the picture, and off i go :)

PS: That was actually the picture i used to make this one, nice detective work hehe  ;)

  7. It would really help workshop creators, on the pixel art department, if there were blocks, cubes of all the colors. What i find lacking most of the times is, a black colored block (#000000) and dimgray (#2E2E2E), other ones but not so important are cyan (#00FFFF) and pink (#FFC0CB), im using the chocolate block as a replacement for pink but the brown part of the cube makes it useless in some cases. (Implementing this on scenario only should not take massive resources and make things a lot more easier on the creation parts, especially on pixel art but of course it helps in other areas.)

On the normal game perspective, it could come with a painting system, where you get dyes from plants that you then can paint a block with the color of the dye.(I understand that implementing this on the normal game would be harder, as such you will need to create more than the blocks with the colors)

Colored blocks would make it a lot easier to create art. I'm certain the team already thought about this topic, as it's not that revolutionary idea, but postponed it for another time to focus on more important stuff :)

Love the game, keep up the good work :D

  8. Indeed, steam should bring a lot of "new blood" to the community, like e3 did a little as well. Just found this game because of e3, surely steam will shine a bigger spotlight on Ylands and will bring it to the general population of gamers :D

PS: It's a great honor to see my creation in your world :P Keep up the good work
