decided to try and improve performance, now cleaning the decks by replacing what I can with larger blocks since much of it was made up of bricks. hopefully will reduce the block count by quite a bit. -

hah! thank you for the advice, I've also decided to expand the front a bit, now it looks a bit more like a 17th-century warship which was more of the end goal... it gets much harder to build as you pile more stuff on, glitches are far more frequent and I am spending more and more time moving it to new editor games as the controls keep breaking. -

People of ylands, lend me your opinions! I have elongated the ship ever so slightly and redone the deck layout, Yay or Nay? OLD VERSION (2 decks with 4 levels) NEW VERSION (2 decks 5 levels) -

alright, lads, the rigging went faster than expected, some minor hull cleanups but mostly just the rigging sorted tonight. certainly gives it a hell of a lot more ship shape-ness -

thank you! I also love the bigger lads, but some of them end up feeling.... chunky, hence my attempt at a sleeker double deck. for a progress update. the interior is coming along and the front is now mostly finalized, deck improvements both above and below are proving to be a pain. still need to finish the interior, clean up the deck and sides, the rigging, of course, will probably be the biggest headache. Enjoy! -

only a little update today, going away for the week so this will be last update for a little bit. nothing large changed on the exterior yet, some minor adjustments and duplicate block removals. begun cleaning up the inside with some interior work (yes it will be furnished beyond boxes and cannons). been looking a lot at model ships and realized that no self-respecting ship designer would put the big guns on top, lest they want to end up like the mary rose. Sadly we don't have a medium gun available but at least the little ones give me more room to run around on deck! lastly, if anyone has any colour recommendations i'd gladly take them. < special thanks to zarwil, his section on boat making has been invaluable to me > -
RESOLVED [YLD-16004] Naming Composition Bug
Harry Pines replied to bojo2736's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
its a bit fickle this one. i found the best way to get past it is to load the composition into a new editor map and then name it properly there. -

The big one 2, electric boogaloo is back with another update! re-did most of the back and added more firepower. took quite a few tries to achieve the fancy back look. Not done yet but certainly better than last time! -

Thank you! Getting bends on ships is a nightmare, you can't copy and paste as it refuses to bond to the ship, and without fine numerical control over its rotation, I couldn't get the sides to line 100& up.
