  1. in exploration would it be possible to have candles never go out unless you extinguish them, i like to use candles as my main source of lighting in my home rather than torches and lanterns etc. it becomes tedious to constantly keep having to relight them.

And you were readily able to access the exploration content without needing to re-purchase it?

that's right. never had issues with logging in or server time-outs and so on. give the team some time and i'm sure they'll sort it out. i can imagine how frustrating it is for you.

So is this a blatant attempt at theft or an actual bug? Cause' it seems that no-one who owns the game through steam can access this mode if they have the steam version of the DLC. In game, it attempts to force you to purchase this content again, almost like it was deliberately put behind a second paywall.

Forgive me if I come off a bit harsh here- I am kind of (extremely) angry that content I paid for is abruptly behind a brand new paywall.

Convince me this isn't the case and I will gladly change my reviews and withdraw my reports to steam.

it does sound like a bug as i use ylands through steam and i've never had any problems that others seem to experience.

I have uninstalled and re-installed ylands through steam and all the data was saved, but I strongly suggest saving your files on a USB dongle just in case.  C://Program Files (x86)/Steam/Userdata/ (folder with your steam account number ...looks like a bunch of random numbers)/298610

The 298610 folder is the folder you want to back up. It contains all your saved games, compositions, blueprints, etc.

thanks spirit. always so helpful. ?

  5. ok so I'm planning on getting a new and better computer (hopefully soon) and something crossed my mind. when I upgrade i'm also going to be getting a new SSD which also means re-downloading everything. If i re-download Ylands through steam will all my editorials and saved projects be downloaded with it or would I have to put the files in a USB dongle and transfer them over? I really don't want to lose anything so any advice would be appreciated.

  6. i did write a list of questions but can't find them although i can remember one off the top of my head.

is it possible to duel wield, i don't mean 2 weapons at the same time but rather holding a torch and a melee item at the same time so i can fight close range in dark caves/night time rather than going in blindly and hoping for the best.

  7. it kind of bugs me that the duration of each potions is a weird number apart from cold resistance potion.

do you think they would change the flight potion animation to something a bit more suited? for example when super heroes are casually flying, they sort lean forward on a 45 degree angle which i think fits better rather than flapping your arms. also like spirit said it would be helpful to be able to equip your weapon whilst using a flight potion.

Wait don't close this post. In most cases you can turn weather effects to  none/low/medium/high.......but I would like to see other effects. ...Natural disasters would be cool (but keep them rare Tornadoes, Hurricanes, etc).......one main effect I would LOVE to see is the polar lights.....Aurora Borealis type effects in the arctic regions. I think with the lack of animals and plants in the regions it might be a possibility? Just keeping fingers crossed.....you guys did an amazing job with clouds and sunrises/sunset colors.....as a tetrachromat, I can see the possibility of including these sorts of visual eye candies in the game without being to heavy on memory...but you guys are the experts.

i like the idea of extreme rare weather, maybe even earthquakes and tsunami's if possible

  9. ok so i'm at a point now where i want to settle on an island in exploration as i'm tired of living on my ship but i need help.

firstly when i make a home, i want it to be fantastic and i want to make it in editor and then make it into a blueprint. i've heard that this can be done by working around it and was wondering if someone could detail me on how to do it.

secondly i was also wondering if someone could show me how to make perfect circles using blocks in editor. i remember coming across a post that showed you how to do it but i can't seem to find it.
