Hey All, Lets all come together and give some feedback on inventory an stacking, an try to improve upon the system in place. We know specific pouches are planned down the road as stated in Sneak Peak# 35. A way that dirt doesnt go directly into inventory an needs to be picked up. How are stacking levels for items? What items would you change to stack higher or lower? What advice do you have for weapons in the inventory? Should they count for inventory space or other ideas you have? Backpacks are planned so this would be a nice addition. What about a bag, shopping cart, or other handheld basket to gather items? Cars will have trunks so more storage will be available. Inventory and hot bar: Pick up weapon it goes to open hot bar slot? Goid idea or no? Right click on item from inventory, dismantle without opening another box? Ideas? Inventory items to be situated alphabetically? By group? By hit points?ideas? Left click and drag to drop that item in its entirety instead of clicking on item and then pressing ctl etc. Thoughts and more, include your ideas Ylanders.... Off to work....

Wow... Had an amazing time on the server this Sunday... Logeed on to find a nice little shoveled out area with some nice atarter supplies. Met two nice people and I started an underground cave and, my house, a little fishing pier and more.... What a great time, glad to hear you will bave PvE on the server John if thats an option. When placing items like a blacksmith, spinner wheel, etc you have a two minute countdown to hit the item and it will disappear and you will get your resources back. After two minutes you should be able to hit the item with a hammer and get your resources back. It will take many hits with hammer to destroy the item

Hello All, Just wanted to create a suggestion/feedback thread to give some suggestions and also brainstorm some of my thoughts.. Will keep adding to the list as I continue playing and at this point I am fairly new to the game... Must say this is one of the best games I have played in a very long time, this is way ahead of any EA game in my mind, tons and tons to do and see... Simply love these little point of interests, really would like to see more of them scattered around, nice little neat setups, and puzzles. Npcs building on the islands also along side my YlandsCane. Perhaps another one or two npcs found the same island as me. We could be friends or foes, maybe be tries to rob my belongings or I try to do the same... A game economy of sorts, maybe selling items to npcs on random islands, hey a ylands has to make a living also, maybe I can purchase items from him/her also. Could have some sort of coins to be found in world for money to use on things. Perhaps some animals fight each other at some point. Make my own blacktop/ road with gravel, etc... Show the remaining weapon health with small bar under the weapon/item. How about Crabs can bite you and jellyfish in the water can sting you, but of course small damage and perhaps a net to catch fish, etc. Some wooden, stone walls that are like the floor walls... Shutters for Windows, glass windows, sliding glass doors... buckets to pick up water to make myself a pond and or lake. Backpack, I see a slot for it, but not sure how to make it. Perhaps a basket to carry around and get more items.... Edit: Okay sitting by the pool with family ?, how about crafting a jet ski?, Also a handheld metal detector to locate treasure, diamonds, etc under the dirt. So you can walk around your island and use the metal detector and then try and find things unserground... Snorkeling gear.... Crab cage for fishing.... Refrigerator Edit 2 Suggesting stone and stone chunks to be able to stack to at least 50, believe 20 is too low... Would like to see most stacks to 100, I love collecting and inventory space goes fast with all the amazing items you have Helmet with a bright light More to come....

When wearing the helmet with light perhaps a way to turn it on/off with a keyboard selection.

Thank you Ales and team for the amazing sneak peek, we all want to make this game even more amazing than it is, and am sure you can see some of the passion we have... Good on you guys to listen, talk, and give us some insight to what is going on behind the scenes... Thanks for taking a minute to answer some questions during your busy schedule... Am going to test alot more this weekend and give input on my playstyle. So ylands, drinks, pool, and food this weekend....

I can start a new thread this weekend, as am busy now with work and all... I like the idea of a "per item" or group for inventory issues. My top one would be stone, chuncks and marble at 20, as if you want to make a nice huge house or castle, with the stacking at 20 is alot of going back and forth and habing inventory issues... i think for myself most pressing are with stone, chuncks, marble, and some other i can list later as the most pressing...

Nice update... Thanks... Will we the explorer be able to color blocks also and if so when is that planned? I would hope this is not just for the editor, because i really want to arrange my home with different colors such as my walls, and floors, and also not rely on modders which will have the coloring in the editor section. I can see this being an issue also if the editor has items like this and not the explorer's. My first thought is why am i not getting coloring blocks and the editor does... Is the inventory pouches planned for this update or the next update? Will the weather in each biome continue to rain or snow? Or will it stop at times? I could see an issue with it continuing to rain or snow the entire time i am in a biome.... What is the current discusion with stacking levels like stone, stone chuncks at 20, also books dont stack, and many other items currently sit at 20, will we see adjustments in this update so we can test it out and give feedback?

Totally agree this hopefully is being addrressed immediately, it can become very frustrating with the stack levels on many items. -
I like the idea of showing a small little blip on the map when we are going from island to island, it can even be a small boat icon. I could see people getting frustrated with building there nice home with all there supplies on one island, and then when they go to other islands and try to come back to the original island they get lost. A icon on the map and or even we can place a mark on the map and then we can follow that mark to find our home, etc.

I would agree Ales with fully concentrating on the upcoming update as the FAQ for coyns can wait. Take your time with the FAQ, i dont see any rush with it, rathet see a nice dev diary for upcoming update, something nice an juicy as far as details. Id rather have details on daily meetings and or a topic dedicated to it to keep such important things transparent.

Yep in indeed, the second time i logged into your server it said Sam had killed me... Not sure why.... Hopefully hes not going around attacking people, but did kill my chaeacter as it says who kills you when you log back in...

RESOLVED Hard Crash in Cave

Thanks for the response... Not sure what is occurring, but when i switch to 720P in a cave it hasnt been crashing... I am always in 4K above ground and seems okay. i have lost two different saves due to the hard crash as it wipes out the save completely, even with saving prior to going into a cave with pressing F10 to save. The above post is my output from the last crash i had. Thanks much -
I dont think they will at all, if they did it would damage the game in my opinion....
