    Lag spikes?

I emailed the technical support, the person advised that I uninstalled my antivirus. Which I did, tried a few other things and still get pretty poor performance.

    Newbie and Buy?

If you want, you could always keep playing the trial by using different email accounts? A temporary solution until the game goes into EA, next month.

    Dev Diary #20

Fantastic stuff, appreciate the kind gesture! I don't actually recall how I came across Ylands but after playing the demo I knew it had potential. Looking forward to this update, keep up the excellent work dev team!

    Its getting more enjoyable

I cut down trees that are as far away from my base as possible. Gets a little tedious having to pickup all of the sticks, bark etc so it just stays on the floor. Are there any specific trees that drop more logs?

    A Few Questions..

Hi all, I have been playing Ylands for a little while and have a few questions about the game, is anyone able to answer the below questions? 1. Do dropped & harvested items despawn? In-game I cut a lot of trees down, items such as the sticks, bark and seeds appear to remain on the ground. I think this is the cause of a slight FPS drop when I walk towards these particular areas. 2. Is there anyway to flatten uneven ground? I want to create a flat, even area for crowing crops (I know you can plant crops on uneven land) 3. Does the game have procedurally generated worlds? The two seperate saves I am currently playing through seem very familiar.. 4. How do I hotkey specific tools such as the axe? 5. Can you die from not keeping your character fed? Any and all assistance is much appreciated, thank you in advance!

    A Few Questions..

@kimbuck I like to build a basic shelter/home and farm before exploring. Currently working on completing my current base, as you can see from the picture below, I still have a long way to go..

    A Few Questions..

@kimbuck Thank you for your detailed answers, much appreciated. That's what I am enjoying about the game, discovering new and interesting things. Just earlier I discovered that you can use dirt and or sand to create new land.

Anyone else with a shark problem?

@kimbuck Thanks for the tips, think I'll stay in-land for the time being!

    funny screenshots

Here's an interesting screenshot of what appears to be a house underwater? Stumbled across it looking for new land, hand to use a camera trick to make it visible breifly underwater. No idea what it actually was as about four sharks devoured me once I left my raft.

    Its getting more enjoyable

The more I play Ylands, the more I am enjoying what the game currently has to offer. I have played around 8-10 hours of the game and have only just discovered how-to rotate logs upwards, so I can create a proper shelter.. Anyway, the more I experiment with different items, the more I am learning. It only gets more enjoyable with the time you invest..!

    some survival tips for newbies

I don't know if this question is best asked in this thread, anyway.. Is Ylands procedurally generated? I am attempting to create a survival island experience, as such. But I couldn't help but notice that I only seem to spawn in two different locations.

Anyone else with a shark problem?

Hi all, Is anyone having issues with sharks not moving from beaches? I have built a base near sand and the sharks are congregated in the water and won't move.
