Here is my latest creation, it is based on a MP game boat i made to escape the barren starting island i arrived on, so that i was sure to survive any condition, it has a Brazier for cold weathers, Bamboo chests as floaters, 2 Wicker Baskets, a Lantern on the front and a Stove inside to cook whatever fish you may pick, it has one Fishing Pole and a Flint Lighter in the Left Bamboo Chest, and the Stove is filled with wood ready to be lit. This baby can take you to the end of the world. I will post it on the Workshop as soon as it s back functionning right for me... Hang tight =)

This version was recreated in Creation Mode, and fine fitted in the Editor.

I dont even have a name anymore... And still on the upper right corner you can see i m actually logged in as me.

  3. Woohoo ok, i m getting the gist out of all this now =)

This ship is good for exploration, i created it in Explore, it has 4 sails and 2 engines, and all the base crafting stations + a good amount of chests. (There is some random stuff left in some of the chests). Hope you will enjoy it s simplicity =)

So yes, it is not a very refined Ship all right, but it is very practical. With it s front position for piloting, you can have a clear view ahead, aswell as under the water very easily so you can make sure never to wreck it. The Captain s Cabin on top is comfy and the top roof even allows for growing plants when you are anchored. Make sure to harvest them before to go though =)

You can find it on the workshop Here: https://ylands.net/asset/170

Feel free to test it and to give me feedback =)

  4. For now when you go straight, you get a warning that you are going "out of the map" so to say, and that there will be nothing to find ahead.

How about instead you made the world round, and when you reach an end of he map, you get to the opposite side? So that the planet would be spheric and not flat? Exiting west would bring you back to east, exiting north would bring you back to south.

Yes, placing the computer makes the ship unturnable. To fix it you need to destroy the computer (the best way is to open your game in the Editor and doing so - the problem might be to actually find the computer...)

Damn this thing bugged me off really hard =)

But i did find HOW TO PROCEED: In the editor, you will first need to find your ship (SHIFT+WASD for fast moving the camera). Once you have it in sight, you must SELECT it by clicking the HULL, you will then have a green cubic highlight sourrounding your ship AND the computer, If the computer is FAR AWAY, the green cubic highlight will be HUGE. The NEXT STEP is to MOVE your ship as far as you can towards the FURTHEST corner of the green cubic highlight, then move your camera towards it again, you may need to do the SHIP MOVE + CAMERA MOVE several times depending on how far the Computer is, until eventually the green cubic highlight gets smaller and smaller. At some point is will be small enough for you to see both your Ship AND the computer (You may want to hide both WATER and GAME(terrain for that matter)) in order to actually SEE the computer. Select the computer, right click it, and DELETE the culprit. Your Green Cubic Highlight is now EXACTLY the size of your SHIP. All you have to do now is move it back where it was in your game, make sure your avatar is on land or replace it on ship, and SAVE.

You can now launch your game again (not in the editor, but the real game) and NOW YOUR SHIP CAN STEER AGAIN OH YEAAAAHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!

    DUUUUDE that was annoying =)

  6. Hey it s me again =)

OK so far we have a few inventory containers, seeds, keys, pigments, soils, coals, herbs, seashells.

Now comes the greedy part, how about MORE containers for: Tools, Stones (stone chunks, marble, sandstone...), Ores, Crystals, Meats, Furs, Wood (logs, sticks, bark, wooden pieces), Fruits, Vegetables, Ammo?

This would not only clear the inventory but also give a sort of classification by type that would not be bad... like categories, but by containers.

Vote and UpVote if you like it =)

  7. Ok so, i may sound a bit nuts but i do not care =)

I dream of having a "Noah s Ark", to be able to tame and breed animals on my Ship if i would like, which of course would require also that, by breeding them i could slaughter them by food chain order, so that i could feed them accordingly with one another. (wolves would eat rabbits, felines could eat goats, etc...)

That also means i would like to really be able to plant seeds for plants (not trees, that sounds stupid) ON my Ship for my herbivores, so that my food chain would really be complete. Right now it is possible to use Pots on ships but you better harvest them before moving or else, they just stay in place in the air =)

What do you think guys? Anyone else wants a Noah s Ark? Vote and UpVote if you agree =)

  8. Until then, since my ship really had become my base, with all my workstations and chests, and it is stuck here on the shores of a desert island, i live the nomadic life, exploring around on a simple little boat charged with wicker baskets so i can bring back seeds and ores i need, it s another way to play the game, it s a lot slower, but i m truely hoping the bug fix will free my Ship and make it steer again. My only regret will be to lose my faithful little boat since we can't attach one to the ship...
