Is 2003 even supported? that's a very old OS..
Seems like the game is running but only just..

Mainly DS Questions from me:
- In a earlier Setup Guide for DS, i saw something mentioning that Feb 2018, would be the month DS would get some focus, is that still true or pushed back?
- Is there going to be a Linux version any time soon? if ever? really would love this, windows hosting is too expensive, shared hosting is not great either.
- If linux is not planned for a long time, will the RAM/Memory usage ever be optimized?
- When will we be able to Customize our servers? such as config file for: PvE, PvP, Timescale (e.g 48 > 90mins), weather, character management, moderation options, etc
- As the world file grows the delay to get onto said server takes longer, is there any plans to fix this? I think this has also something to do with network disconnections.
- Is there any plans to combine the Tail and Headless into a single console window? making it interactive and also having a visual console for hosting providers.
When is the 114 Disconnects, Layer, disconnects, going to be fixed? this update needs a hotfix for DS Servers/clients it's broken, if do anything that makes the server think and you're out and d/c.

New Changelog:
- Updated the Server to v0.7
- Moved server from VPS to hosted services due to costs, and no foreseeable linux support.
- Due to move to hosted services, regular back ups are no longer possible, only at daily maintenance downtime.
- We are still here!

I'm glad he has pitched his YouTube. I've learned a lot from his editor videos and have had immense support via his discord.
But on topic. I'm dieing for Linux support as well as a server monitor that is less temperamental than a 4 year old.
I never said he couldn't did i? I'm just concerned with the sellout emphasis of things. Pitching /Selling out in your own Discord/Private Grp etc is fine, knock yourself out, it's yours
When it's public for a small community group like Ylands, one can't help to think, what about the other guys? sure it's there fault for not getting out there, but there is also too much.
Anyway i don't want to drag this out anymore, just concerned for the little guys, that's all, since P1 seems like a huge community already.

I'd to defer on some things.
- 12GB is not required.. most of the time most people will be fine with 8GB, however if you are popular group with lots of traffic you will probably need more than that.
- Must you always pitch the nitrado/youtube thing? i kinda feel like you are selling out most of the time... Sure you're popular.. but you act like you're a dev sometimes..

For creative? but whats the point? you have everything, hence the name creative.. as for customization, they were only introduced this patch, i'd say that will come in a future patch.

I have been away in another state, and have not been able to monitor the server as much as i would like too.. my community is getting frustrated.. ideas?
Now i think my host might be the issue here.. because i update steam, it updates, validate it, and come back next day, needs the same update again... sigh. It's like not saving steam downloads..

Firstly " 4Gb DDR4 RAM, Intel i5-6200U, Nvidia GeForce 930MX " spells laptop, this will be 50% of your problem right there
Since you have Nvidia, try turning down settings in the control panel globally, some settings can be made there, that is not present in the game, such as AA
See if you swap out the 4GB for 8GB, this will help alot with fps and better responsiveness, this game loves ram.
Make sure you are only running ylands, steam, and voice comms if you use it, nothing else.

freeze/crash is never a good sign.. anyway. the reason most likely why progress was lost was due to the the Config file set to Regenerate new ylands each reboot.
The Ds config file needs to edited once a save file is present, so that progress can be continued even after shutdown/crash/freeze, you can find how in the DS forum.

That looks like an issue with the Graphics itself, not the game, whens they last time the drivers were updated?
Also looking at the logs, you're using a laptop, is it overheating? that above could be a overheating issue.
Looking into the logs, these errors pop up:
- Recipe Issues
- Animation Issues
- A note that someone almost fell through the world (but didn't)
- Something Skin related, do you have skins?
- Something about Memory leak, lots of these errors towards the end of the log. did you run out of RAM? or near it?
MP game virtually unplayable due to avatar freezing ..and then death onrejoin minus all belongings

I'm contemplating of moving back to VPS just to poke around and see whats going on, and having backups on a frequent schedule might be the best idea till this is fixed.
