  1. If you haven't already, send an in-game bug report to the Devs, also say which blueprints they are (name and author) to make it easier for them to investigate them and you can attach screenshots of them here as well.

    Does it say which recipes you are missing specifically? Might help us solve what the issue might be. In the meantime you can always invite someone who does have those recipes to come over and complete that part of the blueprint for you, you'd just need to supply the materials.

    You are totally allowed to rez your own posts! Fantastic ship by the way, I just looked it up on the blueprint shop. Are you on the Ylands Discord server? You could post some screenshots of it there and I'm sure it will gain a lot of attention!

  3. The zoologist scroll hints at mythical animals, there are over 30 of them in the game split between the regions. They don't spawn like normal animals, you need to first find the spawn location and then place down the correct bait which you would have learnt after reading the scroll. Each mythical creature spawns only under specific conditions such as time of day or weather events. The baits are expensive to make and many require ingredients found only at the mystery yland maps that you use exploration points to unlock. The bait recipe should be under Food & Farming>Animal Taming>Mythical Baits.

    The structure you have seen at Elmwood's Outpost is just decorative. If you get stuck doing the missions there then you can read the guide on the wiki here


  4. Ylands has an interesting system where some item recipes unlock when you have the ingredients, and others only unlock at random when you visit encounters in the world. Some can also be linked to one specific encounter which can make it harder to obtain, the Zirconium rifle is one such item. I can't say for sure exactly which encounter it is linked to unfortunately but I would hazard a guess it's one somewhere in the Tundra region. Don't forget to visit underwater encounters too and I believe the Mystery Ylands can also unlock some recipes.

    The crafting system is getting an overhaul in the next update in a few months, the devs have been working on making a proper crafting/tech tree so it is more intuitive on what you can craft and what you can unlock in the future.

OMG you are adding Takahe birds which are endemic to my country, I am crying with happiness! 😭 We thought they went extinct and are fighting to bring their population numbers back up, so this is extremely beautiful to see them represented in my favourite game! 🥰 I am going to make sure they never go extinct on my Ylands that's for sure. Thank you Filip and the team 🤩 this feels like a dream

  6. I think you are trying to place it outside of the build limit for the primitive ship, it looks like you have made an extra platform off the back of it. Unfortunately if you built it in editor it doesn't stop you from building past this limit so when you bring it into adventure mode you can't place new stuff that far away from the hull. If you take it back into editor and make the changes you want and then update the blueprint then it will work though.


  7. I believe I've seen you ask in the discord group where I answered but I will answer again in case it helps someone else who happens to be searching in the forums. 

    The dlc unlocks all regions of adventure mode instantly. You just start the game and click adventure mode from main menu. Without the dlc you can still play adventure mode for free but you have to grind resources and points to unlock the regions one at a time so it takes much longer to progress.

    Hi Anna, it seems other players are still having issues with this, the submarine keys are not working on the Mark I armor encounters. Not sure if they have made bug reports or not but it's been brought up on the discord today. When was the fix for the keys implemented? I saw someone successfully obtain all of the pieces on July 12th but then another person reported issues with the submarine key on discord September 12th, similar time to the reports here, and now October 4th someone is still encountering it on a new map.

If we were able to have some basic scripting from editor allowed into adventure mode, I'd love to see blueprints of displays that act like the ones in the Fortress Library mystery yland where they show a silhouette of the weapon and you can interact with it simply by right-clicking to place that item into the display and then take it back out again if needed.
