bojo2736 1016 Posted September 10, 2019 @Adam Snellgrove can you explain a bit about logs? Does it just record the present session of play? If I have to reboot does it eliminate the log before? Also on server logs, is there an easy way to check identification of players who have logged in and their activity? Thanks !
Adam Snellgrove 1451 Posted September 10, 2019 Yes, logs record only the present session, whenever you start ylands.exe previous logs are automatically deleted. To your second question, not really I'm afraid. It really just records errors and such. It is possible to see when someone logged out, but not their name. You can only see, who logged in. But maybe for your needs, the output_log_userscript.txt could be more useful...
bojo2736 1016 Posted September 10, 2019 So to get accurate logs to the team, reporting in game as it happens seems best?
Adam Snellgrove 1451 Posted September 11, 2019 The best way is to post them here, because when you report in-game, we can't get back to you to ask follow-up questions or to clarify something and that is sometimes crucial. And often people just report outout_logs but don't actually tell us what happened and we don't know, what to look for.
