Currently you can't make an Iron Hammer using another Iron Hammer, a Stone Hammer however works perfectly fine. The crafting window says everything you need is there, however when you click craft it says "Missing Required Material". Although it's not severe it can be confusing to players unknown to the workaround.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to a Anvil with all the required items and an Iron Hammer in your inventory, and without Stone Hammer in your inventory.
2. Select the Iron Hammer and click the Craft button.
