Silwercastle 85 Posted December 11, 2017 Could we build ships on dry land. We could then build a dry dock and not have the ship move around. Upon completing we could blow the barrier between the water and the boat and lift it out of the dock and sail it out. Would that be possible ?
0 V-Alfred 367 Posted December 11, 2017 thats cool, that could work if they add more complex water mechanism like remove/add water
0 Silwercastle 85 Posted December 11, 2017 Or a mechanism that the boat is build on move into the water till the boat float and then retract from under the boat. That is how they offload motorboats from trailers at a dam.
0 SpartanLand 1 Posted December 11, 2017 If you put the anchor down it stops the boat from swaying
0 WijkagentAdrie 384 Posted December 11, 2017 In the first post you can see a trick I use with small boats to work around the problem of moving boats! I place it on freeplaced beams over the water, and after I'm done building I simply pick up the beams Larger ships have anchor levers and don't really need this trick.
