when I build my roofs they are always so so tall can anyone explain to me how I can make a roof without it looking like a mountain lol thank you

what kind of roof are you using atm? usually combining some blocks will do the trick, anyway upload a picture would be nice

My biggest issue lately is I have noticed a lot of the small 1x1 blocks dont work with the low slope roof tiles as they have a larger slope.

I make my roofs like this. You can make pretty smooth and good loking shapes with the 1x2 slopes and 1x1 slopes.

Or you can make roofs like this if you have a smaller, symmetrical building.

@Paula Voytek, try using the J,K,L keys or holding down the H or G key and using RMB to change the rotation.  Once you discover this trick building goes to another level.  For roofs you can use the longer triangles and flip them on their side to alter elevations like 2 tall 2 wide 1 deep or 2 long by 1 tall by 1 deep.  There are also corner pieces and then you can just go crazy with elevation mix.  Also i tend to do temporary frames to make sure centering is correct.  This helps a lot on placement

there is quite a bit that can be done for some for some interesting roofs. What I'd like to see though, is an inside corner with the 12/12 roof on one side and the 6/12 roof on the other so that you can change ridge direction and roof slope smoothly
