Please give us pre-removing-first-person multiplayer in the beta branches!
Sapioit-a933737c585f579d posted a question in Suggestions & Feedback
There seems to be no immediate plans to give us the first person back, so please give us the latest multiplayer version before the removal of the first person as a beta branch option! Unsupported as it is, it is a low-effort effective way of getting more people interested in the game and in getting the old people who left the game back into the game. The game is already free, but you could even launch it as a paid DLC, to have the people who already paid for it pay for it again.-

Petition to re-add first person view

I do want the first person camera back, but I gave up on hoping it will be brought back. I think that, by now, the only chance we still have is to ask the devs to give us the option to play the latest version before the first person camera was removed. That could be easily done in the Betas option of the Steam app. That way, they could still keep the first-person-camera lovers engaged until the main version brings it back. -
Yeah, I think there should be a different category for this kind of posts. I think it would help more with getting to know the devs and getting in touch with the devs. Thanks for the reply! Much appreciated! Since I'm already here, let me ask: Does the dev team know they're alienating a very big chunk of the player base by not having a fully-functioning first person camera (which helps a lot with immersion, PVP and other play styles)? There are a lot of complaints about this issue over on the game's Steam discussions area.

So this Dev Diary contains practically nothing about the game? Gocha. Also, a bear sized crab would be a horror animal, and practically a walking tank.

A few reasons to bring back the 1st person camera mode (with a 1-button toggle between 1st and 3rd person camera modes): First of all, PVP becomes unplayable without a FULL 1st person camera, especially with more enemies, for most people. Second of all, precision placing become imprecise. Or, at the very least, I would have to switch from 1st person to third person A LOT. Third of all, houses and ships with tight spaces, mining tunnels, using machicolations and using arrow slits becomes nearly impossible. Fourth, and maybe most important, IMMERSION IS GONE !!! Fifth, a "first person shooter" without the first person camera mode is a "third person shooter". You might have noticed that it nowhere near as popular as the first person shooter genre, including tournaments and competitions. Sixth, the most popular games in the genre have both 1st and 3rd person camera modes. Those without both are most often a lot less popular. Those are just a few reasons off the top of my head why a FULLY FUNCTIONING 1rd person mode is MANDATORY in a game of this genre.

My question would be: Why are you so hellbent on not bringing the old camera mode back with the click of a button? Just bought the game and I'm seriously considering getting a refund just because you removed the 1st person camera. In the time I played on my friend's account, I have not used the 3rd person for more than 20 minutes in total out of 100+ of hours I've spent in-game. This is would not be the first game I give a bad review for removing the 1st person camera or not having a 1st person camera, and I'm sure it wouldn't be the last either. I mean, it's not like you removed something insignificant. The time spent removing the 1st person camera and improving the 3rd person camera could have been partially spent actually fixing whatever you say is broken in the 1st person camera (which I have not noticed back when I played the game of my friend's account, before the 1st person camera was removed). The only reason I bought the game is because I read that the 1st person camera is back. But if it's not a fully functional first person mode, then I have no more reason to not get a refund. First of all, PVP becomes unplayable without a FULL 1st person camera, especially with more enemies, for most people.
