And isn't there a way to do it via scripting now? ? I'll ask Naru about it, what he thinks ? @NaruTheHuman

We're on it ? -
RESOLVED Shashlik overwrites cold resistance
Adam Snellgrove replied to ocnoglittle's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
One effect always replaced another effect. It would be kinda awkward to have a warning there somewhere about it ? But learning the hard way is also sometimes fun ? -
That looks so cool ? SO glad you're enjoying farming ? We're not planning chickens just yet, but I'll suggest it and maybe someone can get unto it.

RESOLVED [YLD-25642] Animal Pens: Infinite Wood & Rope Bug
Adam Snellgrove replied to Vega_Paradox's question in Suggestions & Feedback
Thank you for the report, I'll hand it over to our QA team. -
I adore it ? Definitely would buy some souvenirs there

I'll see if we can change it for you. Other than that your cousin can download the game on his own Steam account and make his own profile, thus having his own name there.

Experimental Branch (1.4 Feedback)
Adam Snellgrove replied to ocnoglittle's question in Suggestions & Feedback
Thank you for your observations. I'll pass it to QA and we'll try and get them fixed asap. The underwater digging is a known issue and will be hopefully fixed soon after 1.4. -
Oooh, interesting. I'll ask the devs, if any of this could be implemented ?

Yes, definitely 2020 ? Maybe not right next update but maybe the hotfix after 1.4 or at worst at 1.5.

Hey there Ylanders! We are cooking up something huge for Update 1.4. We have mentioned it in the past, but the Creator’s Club is finally happening and it will be awesome! Unfortunately, can’t say much more about it right now, but we are also recording a fun video to go with it to explain, what Creator’s Club will mean for you. So here are a few photos from the shoot and boy, did we have a lot of fun ? What do you think about real-life Major General? Is he a strapping young fellow or is he missing that polygon charm? And that's it for now, so have fun and stay classy Ylanders ?

RESOLVED [YLD-25969] Menu Screen Bug?
Adam Snellgrove replied to Fairyfuzz's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
Right ? So what you need to do is delete in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\841649436\298610\remote the ylands.ini file while the game is turned off. This should reset the settings. This number 841649436 may be different because it's account specific. This should reset your settings ? Hope it works ? -
RESOLVED [YLD-25969] Menu Screen Bug?
Adam Snellgrove replied to Fairyfuzz's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
Any chance you have a controller or a joystick connected to your computer? That sometimes messes with the controls ? -
RESOLVED [YLD-25969] Menu Screen Bug?
Adam Snellgrove replied to Fairyfuzz's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
Thank you, we'll go through it and see, if there's anything that could be messing with the UI. -
RESOLVED [YLD-25969] Menu Screen Bug?
Adam Snellgrove replied to Fairyfuzz's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
It seems there is a conflict in UI's with something that's running on the background. Try pressing alt+enter to go into windowed mode and see, if that helps. If not, we would need to know, what you have installed and what could be causing the disruption. (https://helpdeskgeek.com/how-to/generate-a-list-of-installed-programs-in-windows/) -
RESOLVED [YLD-25969] Menu Screen Bug?
Adam Snellgrove replied to Fairyfuzz's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
Well this sounds pretty serious. I've logged the issue and our QA is looking into it. -
RESOLVED [YLD-19340] Bug when submitting build (workshop)
Adam Snellgrove replied to RedEagle_P1.'s question in Bugs & Technical Issues
This will resolve itself with the adding of genres. -
1. We will try and add some more customization options in the future, but it is not a priority right now. 2. Probably not anytime soon 3. We will be adding different kind of bags that you can store different types of resources, but they will be in the inventory only and not visible on character. 4. You can "cheat this" in the Editor by clever usage of trigger zones but in the future we'd like to improve the AI to be able to do this too. 5. I'll ask, if this is something we could do :blush

bring back armor and weapon skins, or costumes slots
Adam Snellgrove replied to AliceMeowMeow's question in Suggestions & Feedback
You can now find these skins as their own items in Random Encounters in Exploration and you can still use them in the Editor too ? -
RESOLVED Disappearing objects and loss of controls
Adam Snellgrove replied to i kan's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
I'm afraid issue #1 is intentional, so the world isn't cluttered with left behind resources, so they don't clog up the game. I think they are set to disappear in 5-10 minutes. I will log in the other issues and we'll try to find a fix for them. Thank you for reporting them. -
Hey there Ylanders! So, this Dev Diary is a bit of a call to arms to all Creators that have games on the workshop, because we need your help. As we have talked about previously, we are adding a brand-new menu to the game with cool new functionalities and categories, but this also means, that we needed to unify the tags system to accommodate these new categories. And since if we released the update with the menu, there wouldn’t be any games in all the categories and that would be a great shame. So, we decided to open up the new category system on the workshop a bit early, so you can add the relevant tag to your game and when update 1.4 rolls out, your games will already be in the right category ready to get discovered by players coming in. All you need to do now is go into the workshop and check out your games. Right now they shouldn’t have any tags. You just have to pick one, that is most relevant to your game and when Update 1.4 rolls out, your game is going to be in that category. These are the categories you’ll be able to choose from: Action Adventure Casual Combat Educational Idle Logic Other RPG Racing Simulation Strategy So definitely a lot to choose from and in the future we might be adding even more if the need arises, but these should be enough for now. Add your tags Creators and make your games as visible as possible. And until next time, Stay Classy Ylanders!
