    Hey there Ylanders! So we have some mega big news today! You might have noticed the kind of countdown we had going on Social Media and might have wondered, what it was for. Well not anymore! Because we are releasing the release candidate (or update 0.15.1) which is the final version of the game before release! This means we are all but ready to release 1.0 and this was the final step, the final part of the puzzle. Now we’re giving ourselves a little bit of breathing space for a bit of fixing and polishing and then it is off to the official release of the game, which is coming REALLY soon! We are releasing this update as a kind of soft release to see that everything works and get some feedback from you guys and then we'll go official ? So what can you expect today? Well, obviously the update and all that comes with it. Every feature we announced, that would be in 1.0 will be in this update and you’ll get to try it. You’ll finally get to try out the new Exploration and all the cool things we added in there, such as new encounters, animals, map functionality, sleeping saves, ship and car blueprints, hunting mutants and Alphas, much-improved weather system, Yland tiers and much more. Please give us your feedback on what you think about these changes because Exploration will always be a work in progress and we’ll always add more things in and more features. Not to mention all the features added into the Editor and we can’t wait for you to try out and experiment with ? At this point, we are moving dedicated servers to Nitrado, so those of you that had dedicated servers set up, these will shut down. You can now purchase Dedicated Server time through the in-game shop and we are also working with Nitrado to bring you the option to buy servers directly from them to give you full control over them while still making them certified and fully supported by us. We are also introducing much more capable servers, that will be more efficient and powerful, so try them out and tell us what you think, because we can still tinker with that till the release ? We are also releasing over 400 fixes and improvements, which we’ll list in a changelog (link at the end). Some of you will also get to try out the Mobile version. We are releasing Ylands on Mobile in Scandinavia, Canada, Czechia and Slovakia for iOS and Android. The version currently on Testflight will also be updated, so everyone with iOS will be able to try out the final Mobile version too ? And finally I want to thank you all, that stood by us all these years. Today is Thanksgiving Day in America, which seems fitting because we have a lot to be thankful for. For being able to work on a project we feel truly passionate about, for all the great people we are surrounded by but especially for having such a great community of players, that stuck with us through thick and thin. Your support, suggestions, criticism and bug reports were instrumental in making Ylands what it is today and so we offer you our deepest and most sincere thanks.     If this happens again, output_logs would help. But we'll try to reproduce it either way ? Thank you.
  4. Could you make threads about this in the bug section and I'll log it in and we'll try and figure out, what's going on. Also,output_logs from when it happens would be really helpful in this case. And thanks for the report, this stuff is important.

    A serious concern for future updates

    As we have spoken on Discord, this happened to games, that were saved in Beta, but should be fine with games that were backed up and left in 0.14 version, because there the game will recognise the alpha and automatically lower it to previous levels (or at least close to). Also it shouldn't be difficult to change the alpha en-masse by selecting the objects in question with the control-click and tinkering with the alpha.

    You should be able to do so with the blueprint camera. Though maybe there is a better way someone more knowledgeable will tell you about ?

    Okey dokes, so we managed to reproduce this whilst in a protective barrier. We'll look into it and hopefully fix it soon. Thanks for the report ?
  11. So couldn't figure out why it stutters, but some of the team have a few possible solutions. Have you tried disconnecting the controller completely when playing with mouse and keyboard? It probably has to do something with the resolution you have it set up in, so does it stutter when in 1920x1080?

    So we managed to fix it, but it'll come out in 1.1 since we already have the audio files locked for 1.0.

  18. Nice ? Thanks for the report. If you happen to do so again, output_logs would be great, but we'll also try it on our end. It in fact happened to our QA once, but couldn't reproduce it again, so if it does happen, the logs would be incredibly helpful, because we can't figure out, what triggers it.

    So we just tried it and all you get when breaking nails in inventory and on the ground with the hammer is pieces of iron. And you need 10 to make an iron ingot and from 1 iron ingot you get 10 nails. How are you destroying the nails?

    Edit respawn point / building + bugs

    Thanks for the suggestions, I'll get to them in more detail tomorrow, but as for the respawn, you should be able to set a respawn point to a bed you slept in (but it has to be a bed, not just a sleeping pad). And items should stay where you dropped them. But I'll check on all this tomorrow ?
  25. The price increase is because we upgraded the server power substantially a s the price may still change, if we find put we overdid it or that even more powerful servers are needed. And as of support, we'll still provide full support for BI servers. In the future (very near future hopefully, end year definitively) you should also be able to get servers directly from Nitrado (not through our Coyn store) if you need more control over your servers and these will be certified by us, so they'll be able to run monetized maps and have the latest updates always installed. Hope this clarifies some things for you. If anything is unclear, definitely ask, a lot has changed quickly and it can get confusing (even for me ?).
