@Yo HasLEGO Brought this up in discord and I like the idea. Could it be possible to have a working grappling hook in the game? I think it would be easy enough to craft, and possibly could be a separate backpack option....like a climbing kit backpack.

Or we can just tag @Nikki Severin and see if she can pass the idea along. One force field fence that would be a energy wall and one electrified fence that can damage pretty please The walls could link together like the street lights, but it would be sort of like poles with 2 energy nodes on each side. They could use the same distance that streetlights require. Technically you CAN make a force field wall out of the force field doors...but it requires an absolute ton of splitters. Maybe a way to bypass this is make another forcefield door with 2 energy nodes so you can link them together?

Regarding the Energy update that is planned in the future. Will it be possible to craft buttons and levers and have them function in the same manner as switches? Also could it be possible to use the levers on regular doors and gates? (From Nico). ...Also today I was playing around with the forcefield door in editor....is it possible to have a force field or electric fence (that could cause damage similar to tesla coils but impassable unless damaged) in the future? Something that could be turned off and on? It would not act like the protective barrier, rather like a fence that could keep enemy monsters out.

I would think it could work like the energy connectors and switches. A lever connected to doors and gates. Have a "rope connector " tool.....we would also finally be able to craft buttons and levers....not just the 2 energy switch options. (I would prefer a button to turn my lights on instead of the bulky switch)....They mentioned they are going to have a few updates focused on ships and energy after they get done polishing Eploration....so I guess we just wait and see. -

Sometimes I do not notice until it's too late. I just noticed yesterday a few pots had vanished on my steampunk paddlewheel. Didn't notice they were gone until I picked the melons and pineapples in them. Since melons and pineapples sort of cover the pot, it was hard to say when they vanished exactly. I'm sure @NICO14973 probably also didn't notice exactly when the fish vanished since they were in containers. There have been a few other posts about the pots. I think we narrowed it down some. Once you pick something out of the pot, if you replant they vanish when assembling the ship. As @ocnoglittle mentioned though, it happens after planting. For me it has only happened after picking and replanting, but it may happen after the first planting. It may also just be certain plants. I thought it had to do with the catamaran base, but since Ocnog said it happens on other ship bases, then I guess I was wrong. -
I haven't noticed any real issues with English language except the chat filter likes to bleep out words that are not cuss words or bad words . Usually when 2 words are together it can do this. For instance if I use the words "What it's like" I will get this in chat. Wha**** like

I blueprint my ships with boxes and kitchen cabinets a lot. Gives me enough storage and I don't have to bother placing them. Just wish I could blueprint the other cabinets and storage containers. I generally sink the boxes into the hull in editor so they are just barely above the floor level, gives me lots of room to move and lots of storage. Pics below are inside one of my ships. -

Not sure how that would work in multiplayer. I don't think it's possible. Who knows though? They may have a trick up their sleeves. -

I have had the same issue with pens. I had 4 goats all penned, but when I came back to the game they were all gone. You would think the pen keeps them there. It would be nice also if mutant tamed animals would stick around during the day, but they all seem to disappear when daylight comes. -

That might be the best solution....however I would hope it wouldn't mess with our pre-existing blueprints and builds. Maybe just add a few new hull types that would include a below deck option. I don't think Catamarans have a below deck though so I wouldn't include that one. -

I like this suggestion, but I fear they would have to change the water physics to make this idea possible, and from what I unnderstand from the devs the water is a terribly complicated program to alter.....as an alternative maybe we could have players teleport to a small hull base map showing only the inside of the hull and allowing us to build inside the hull without the water physics? I don't know if that is possible either....just trying to think outside the box. I predict the answer to this suggestion will be a "no" for right now. Maybe a few years in the future? -
I suggested a "leash" tool. Sort of like a demo hammer but for tamed animals. They could maybe go in inventory until you unleash them.

The one thing I discovered about this plan was it had a slight flaw. Currently there is no way to demo the chassis of the the car, however we brought this up in the 6th Q and A with Ales and he says he plans to implement it soon, as well as being able to demo ship hulls (as long as there are no blocks or entities on them.) In the Q and A I also mentioned the idea of maybe a leash tool for animals that would act sort of like a demo hammer for tamed animals. Naru liked this idea so I guess we just wait and see what happens. If these 2 ideas are implememnted, that would solve the whole issue of transporting vehicles and animals.

I generally don't record while I'm playing. It generally does it though when you are close to a wall on the ships. Hanging pictures on ship walls can be tedious also because you have to make sure they are slightly inside the wall with the picture still showing otherwise they drop. The bed I was trying to place was close to the rear wall of the ship on the second floor. It just fell straight through the ship into the water. it was an odd bug since it was technically touching the floor also. I may park my ship very close to shore next time and see if I have better luck with the building table -

There is already a scripting function for players to write their own code. https://scripting.ylands.com/ I do not think Lua is compatible.
