    xcrossbow pistol i mean

    Hi!

I have found both x-crossbow and xcbow pistol in a shark temple, underwater.I remembered it was in the arid sea.The Sharktrophy can't be picked, you have to use the demoliation hammer to remove it.

It all depends on luck to find these things...I wish these things could be crafted one day.

    Hi all,

my name is Anna and I'm also from BI. I'm going to fill in for Nikki while she is on vacation.
I discussed this with my colleagues and they confirmed that you need to use the specific cogwheel found on the island.

If you need anything else feel free to ping me :)

    Anna

    Hi!

Well I have reset this many weeks ago, and I believed I've already used the cogwheel on the island.Guess it is not a glitch after all.

Are you refering to the giant mechanical door? I haven't been able to unlock any of it, but i have gotten into the side rooms plus the hidden corner.

Yes.Well it's not that hard to crack the lock 1 and 3, but lock 2...If you finish all the collection, crack lock 1 and 3 will be quiet easy.

yeah i believe the elven components can only be found underwater, but the elven helmet can still be found in island random encounters

Well that's fine, I already collected all items, but have you cracked the lock 2?

It seems that the last update may cause some mistake and the researcher's note can't provide useful clues now.

Shoot NPC with bullet or musket ball, it attacks. Shoot it with an arrow or a bolt and it begins to flee. Even with bow damage at zero, it runs all around.

Why the difference in reaction? Arrows freak things out. Bullets don't...

I should add that you cannot override this arrow flee effect using AI. Nothing you can do, it's going to flee and then walk home.

The sound of gun and rifle will let your enemy know your position, but bow and crossbow are "stealth weapons", guess that is the reason.

As far as I know, weights are used to descend when diving to shallower depths, especially without oxygen tanks. Most of the time it is a simple stone that quickly pulls the diver underwater and he just leaves it on the bottom.

For diving to greater depths, this is not done, because it would kill the diver with caisson disease.

Maybe it would be enough to have some weights that, when in your inventory (or in your hand) would quickly pull you underwater.

Either would have to be in your hand and then it could be used repeatedly and would probably be pretty expensive for ingredients. Or it would be disposable and the diver would have to dump it out of inventory to move around and swim out normally.

I think Ylands is not a diving simulator...Not even many scuba diving games have "diver disease".

The trapezoid sails on this ship are gaff sails. A gaff sits on a boom, extending away from the mast. The small sail in Ylands definitely isn't a gaff sail since it's connected to spars hanging centrally on the mast (which you wouldn't do on a fore/aft sail). In any case, the sails in Ylands are very limiting in terms of what you can build, so unfortunately you have to ignore the realism of sail plans for most builds lol.

It seems that the small mast with sail in game is the "combination" of gaff rig and latin rig. This one is not realistic though.

I think they should introduce bermuda rig and fractional rig as large mast with sail. And something smaller than ship but larger than boat, like a longship, or a cutter.

I found crafting recipes for elven gear underwater.

I have yet to find the crystal staff and crude weapons to complete the collection on my end.

These are easy to craft, also you can find crude weapons on mystery island-Distress Signal, you can take them from the hostile pirates.

So elven component can only be found underwater?

There is an underwater temple ruin random encounter that has a few shark trophies. I know there is another encounter that is on land that has one, but can't remember which encounter off the top of my head. You can find a lot of the elven stuff in Taiga Tundra regions.

Well I actually have found an undersea temple with shark trophies, can't pick them up though.

Oh I see, I could use the demolition hammer to get them. They can't be destroyed.

You can't. It can be found though.

They may have changed it. It's been a long time since I completed Ember Yland

So where can I find one, underwater? Also I need some elven component to craft elven weapon and armor, likely it is necessary for the fortress library mystery.

Hey guys. Do anyone knows how to get catfish and where? Do I should dive deep into the specific biome or just try to fishing with the pole?

Fishing rod can only catch sardine now, you have to dive into tundra sea biomes and catch them with fishing net

  12. Well, since I've unlocked every mystery island in game, I believe it's time to talk about this feature. Some mysteries are quiet easy, you can solve them in maybe half an hour, others may required at least one or two hours or even longer. It also depends on your equipment, if you have a propeller pack, some mission will be really easy. Also, better weapon and armor will be useful in Jagged Jaw and Distress Signal.

The main drawback of these mission is the lack of background stories, you're simply dragged into the mystery, only some mission have background stories before you get started. So you might get confused about the mystery, because you can't find the clue immediately.

By the way, the only mystery island I havn't cleared is Fortress Library.Should I have every kind of trophy, armor and weapon to unlock the crypt?I still havn't found any elven component yet, and how can I craft a shark trophy?

the train is affected by a number of wagons.more wagons equals less acceleration.and the amount of coal is set so that you can't drive around the map indefinitely with ten pieces of coal. but at the same time I have tested that for one full tank it is possible to cross the map until the complete solution ;) (yes, I originally wanted to set the speed a little higher, but the other technical parameters did not allow me to do so.)   :(

Yes, I already solved it, well it's not that hard, just a little tricky.I spent most of the time driving train instead of solving mystery.
