True there has to be a "risk" level in a survival game.

    Sneak Peek #41

Played some DayZ last week and this got me thinking: if you have such a object in your inventory (container with a personal key as example) and I "kill" the other player, all his gear will drop on the ground and makes me able to pick up that container and take out the special key, and if I have his key I will have access to his chest/locked object.

Thanks @Aleš Ulm looking fowerd to is and yes it is my fear to "lose" the object wenn it will be in my regular inventory, so a little warning on that "container" wenn you are about to drop it would be great :-) either way I am sure the @Ylands Team will find a great way to make it work perfectly and safe so we won't lose a key from our inventory :-)

Yes with the removal from the bones they could be on the 6+ rated list of the gamescom venue, and a lot of under 12's played Ylands while their dad(or big brother) went to the other Bohemia Booths of DayZ and ARMA3, seen it a lot on my visit If they would have kept them in the game for gamescome it could have made them 12+ or 16+ acces booth and they always wanted it to be a family game, would be the same if they even added even 1 drop of visual blood spatter in the game, it would get a "pegi 12 or 16" rating.

    Sneak Peek #41

The "containters" we will be able to craft will get a spot in the backpack slot? that wold be awesome so you can keep your special personal items safe. Will it also be possible to link 1 of the items from that container to a fast switch button? Like a lantern? The padlock system will make a lot of the MP servers much more fun to play on as you can "keep your personal items safe" untill you return, and not coming back to find out that your hidden chest has been emptied by a other player

    some survival tips for newbies

Cut down 1 thing from flora and fauna (Tree, plants fruits vegetables) will give you 3 seeds wenn you break them, if you need a lot of cotton/flax don't start spinning them but break them to seeds and plant them to get a bigger amount. If food is hard to get and you dont have much make field for example watermelon or othe vegetables/fruit. If you need a lot of wood cut down most "large" trees, they give more wood and with the 3 seeds you can plant new large trees again to keep your stockpile growing a but faster. Also create a "backup" chest where you have some seeds/supplies in to survive, if you are running low on supplies (like food) you always can start planting them to keep your stockpile up for survival

    Ylands on Steam

@Ane thank you for the quick answers

    Ylands on Steam

@Ane I do have some other questions/suggestions. First of all congrats to the entire team with hitting the next big milestone for Ylands (CakeRep time ). 1) Wenn reporting a bug it might be handy that people report what they use: the stand alone version from the store or steam version, I know a lot of livestreamers don't realy check their mail inbox or this forum so it might be an idea to adjust the FAQ for reporting bugs and state that people should use the steam version only to stay up to date with new updates. 2) Will there be a "status report" on what bugs are fixed and things that have been added or changed to the game, I did notice some more updates on this steam version, the fix for falling trew ground made my Ylands experience much better again 3) Wenn people (from my steam friend list) are in a server or have their explore map open to public to let other people join, is it possible to right click on their name and "join game" in the steam list or do we need to search for them on the server browser ingame? It would make playing together a bit easier as what happend after the E3 could happen again after big promotions (like steam release) and we would see many servers popping up.
  11. Tried it on the steam version...... problem solved so far for me, have not gone trew the ground in over a hour
  12. Hi @Ane here is the video about the Ylands racetrack with the same bug and the /unstuck V command that does not help.
  13. I am also encountering this problem a lot since the last update, downside is while i am stuck to my middle (see screenshot) and use /unstuck a (align with terrain) it drops me even further and i keep falling until i use the command to spawn at beach or spawn point.

    Whats going on?

Yes those who own Ylands will be getting the steam key by mail/pm in the next few weeks
  15. I had the same problem with the sharks while building a bridge from wooden beams to my other Yland not far away, Sharks can attack me and do damage to me trough the floor of my bridge it happend several times.

@WijkagentAdrie the dutch translation was a big part done by me, and a small part by someone before me who skipped a lot of lines and translated the fast way with skipping a lot of lines. It was like finding a needle in a haystack to find all wrong translations, i did my best. As a example: i found out that A was translated B in line 350, but the word came back again at line 1035 it was translated A -> C.

Maybe also a thing about locking your objects on MP: "lock protection": wenn you lock your ship they can't take it away (great news!). But still wenn they want to ruin the game they can sink/damage a ship/car as the "player who can't enter will probely not be happy (just my thought passing trew).

I just played a 2 hour session(or maybe 3) of Ylands on explorer mode...... I am really impressed how good the weather effects are! A bit of rain won't put out your little campfire but a storm (with lighting) does! You really need to take cover and you can't see the difference between day and night during a storm! It took me a lot of pressing F12(there is some delay between pressing F12 and taking the screenshot) but I did manage to take a screenshot of a lightning bolt (1 of the many to hit during the storm).

Well i guess it is fair to say that everybody at Bohemia has a real heart filled with passion for the games they make! You could actually feel, see and hear that and not just the Ylands team but also the DayZ and ARMA3 team! I had the great honor to be present as a sort of VIP, mostly with the A3 team of course as that is my main core game, but the energie you all shared........ AMAZING and that is what makes Ylands for example such a great game: Made by Bohemia Interactive with PASSION! And i hope you all had your rest, you deserved it after many days of 12 hours just walking around with not much sitting around! much respect for you all! And i will take on the offer from the A3 team to come and visit all the offices some time as special guest, hopefully next year

@Aleš Ulm he is 1 of the youngest fans of Ylands and this just shows it is a game for the young and old, good to hear it does give so much joy for you, and of course the rest of the team, this is why you and the tream are working hard so players will enjoy it and get this smile on their face. Shirt is still a bit to big but he will grow in it verry fast, and from time to time he will be playing Ylands with his cap and shirt on even if it is a little bit to big for him

Hi @Aleš Ulm, it really was a busy few days for all teams, the kept in walking, answering questions and so on! And the funny part was that I have seen kids (6+) playing Ylands and the dad went to play A3 or Dayz ? but also how many people were excited about the game, some kids have played it several times, and even saw a girl who told to here boyfriend to go walk around in the hall as she wanted to keep playing on the Ylands PC ?

Really had a great time at the Bohemia booth and shook hands with almost everyone. The new weather is really looking great, it will give a new perspective to the game About the cars 1 word: AMAZING, you can create a car in any way you want and the basic scenario that they had running shows a few models. Event though the ARMA3 team was taking most of my time i did grab a good chance to play the new scenario and took some pictures (and 1 of the rain), unfortunately the sounds from the BI booth neighbors was so loud i could not really hear the ingame sound effects sound but in a few days we will be having driving around our Ylands Once again: was really great meeting a lot of guys and girls from the Ylands team and once again thank you for the goodie bags my son will also love his goodie bag. Who knows maybe till next year on gamescom or wenn i get a chance to travel in your direction and drop by all the office's in and around Prague, as that kinda was a wise hint of the A3 team to really drop by some time
