    • Fixed the issues where under some circumstances holes appeared in the terrain (this, however, won't affect already saved games where the holes need to be filled in by dirt manually, via Terraformer or from Editor)
    • Fixed the possible reason why at 1366x768 resolution it was sometimes impossible to open the Crafting panel by clicking the tab
    • Crafting panel can now also be accessed by a hotkey (default: N)
    • Reduced the number of birds flying between the ylands in the Explore scenario so that now it's easier to use them for navigation

  2. Sorry about this!

    Please try running the game as administrator (right click on the Ylands desktop icon) and send us these two log files - YlandsLauncher.log and YlandsLauncher-previous.log (they can be found at C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\Local\YlandsLauncher). We'll take a look at them the minute you send them to us.

    Do you have Avast installed, by any chance?

    For now it's only possible to play in Multiplayer ylands of size 1 (so no Explore mode). In the following weeks/months we'll be focusing on the MP aspect of the game more, so this will change, but I can't really give you any specific date right now!

  4. Right now the Explore scenario cannot be played in Multiplayer - for the moment there is a restriction that only allows you to play in Multiplayer the ylands of size 1 (and the Explore scenario is bigger than that). But we definitely want to change this in the future!

    You are not doing anything wrong, this is a known issue :(

    Do you have the latest version of the game installed? That should be 0.18.25728 (you can see this in the right corner in the launcher).

    In the meantime, could you please send us the output_log file? It should be in "C:\Program Files\Ylands\Game\Ylands_Data"

  6. Thanks so much for the great feedback to both of you! These are the kind of comments that help us improve :)

    Fortunately the things you mention that need some love are things that are already in our "guys, we need to do something about this" list. We definitely want to make the way you progress in the crafting system more accessible and easier to grasp, as it's not very clear what and how you can craft right now (if you take a look at the amount of items available in the Creative mode, you can get an idea of how many items could be actually crafted). 

    And welcome to the castaway ylanders family, Sjors Hamel! Looking forward to seeing your next creations :) In the future we want players to be able to import their own assets to the game and share them with other ylanders, so that's where you could excel! :P

    I'm not sure what you mean - you can't see any buttons in the launcher? Can you send us a screenshot of the issue?

    Have you tried running the game as administrator? Please send us these 2 files so that we can see why the game is crashing for you: YlandsLauncher.log and YlandsLauncher-previous.log. They should be at C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\Local\YlandsLauncher.

    Sorry about this! We'll look at the files as soon as you send them to us.

    Endless Exploration - 27/10/2016

    What was so far called "Survive" mode is now the "Explore" scenario. In this scenario a large map will be created and various types of ylands (with diverse biomes) will be part of it, being able to travel to the different ylands on the map by boat. For the exploration to be easier just look at the sky and follow the birds, they'll help you find the other ylands. Having a map with you might also be a good idea :) (as long as you have it in the hotbar, your path will be stored)

    • Equippable items' tooltip now shows info about which equipment slot they belong to 
    • Added reset hints button 
    • Launcher now uses the same language that the player has set in the game (or system language, if they're running the launcher for the first time)

    FIXES

    • [Mutiplayer] You can now see where exactly the other players are aiming at with their guns 
    • Animals don't wake up now when player is far away from them
    • All flora growth time is shorter now
    • Trees are not harvested for wood anymore, the new action is called "collect wood"
    • Target slot now gets highlighted when hovering over equippable item
    • Changing active panel to Crafting/Inventory/Cube resets selected filter category to all, resulting in less confusion
    • Animals won't attack players in vehicles now
    • Elevating to a water surface is much faster
    • You create your path in the first map in the hotbar (if you have more than one). You do not have to have the map as an active item, just in the hotbar
    • Map is now easier to craft (leather, not paper)
    • Out of ammo warning is no longer shown when equipping a gun that, while not having ammo in inventory, still has some ammo loaded

    You thought we were done with the boats? No way, sir! We want the ships to be as awesome as possible - and what is more awesome than ships? BIGGER SHIPS! And what is more awesome than big ships? SHIPS THAT YOU CAN CUSTOMIZE! And part of the joy of having awesome things is to show off in front of your friends, right? So we'd like to make the Multiplayer experience as smooth as possible as well.

  9. Heyo!

    To open the console, simply press ENTER once you are on an yland. By typing /cmdlist you can see the complete list of the available commands in the game.

    Here is the list :)

    /ban - kick and ban player account from game

    /cmdlist - print this list

    /demote - demotes a player from admin status
    /freecamera - toggles free camera
    /kick - kick player account from game
    /killme - kills the player
    /promote - promotes a player to admin status
    /unstuck - unstuck character or vehicle
    /w - only those near you will be able to read what you type
