    Building/Crafting needs serious work

You're mentioning a lot of the same things I feel needs more love when it comes to crafting, I agree with everything you say, and I absolutely agree with the crafting, it should be possible to craft stacks. And the saw. It breaks constantly, ended up making 6 saws just so I could get on with what I needed to make, it fatigues way too much. I personally don't have a problem to look up a wiki, and I did notice more and more recipies showed up when I tried crafting new different components. Something I'm probably used to with minecraft and other games. When it comes to building I really like the freedom, and the pieces already there, however the recipies are tedious to gather and takes a lot of time. I also wish there was more pieces than there is now, for instance being able to do some wall pieces and not have to place one log at the time, the plank blocks are nice too. But I'm sure there definitely could be some more thought put into it. What bugs me with it is when I find other structures I want to add to but the grid doesn't line up so I keep getting the message that there's something obstructing the item. Some information about how big a block is would be nice i.e 2x2, 1x5 and 2x10 etc. I also really miss statistics for armor and weapons. I have no idea which weapon does more damage, if there are different ammo that has different stats etc. As well as much trouble in MP with friends, map resetting, blocks placed not showing etc. Stuff I'm sure they are aware of already. Also the fact you can't look directly down in first person, it's constrained. Melee combat is also pretty bad atm, can be very punishing.

    Map shortcut

That works as a temp solution, would be sweet not having to use a slot of the hotbar for the map though, maybe it could even be a character slot or something. I'm not sure

    Dev Diary #23

Congratulations! I'm surprised I hadn't heard about this game before I saw it on Steam, instant buy for me. I really love the entire game but also feel it has room to improve on the crafting aspect and definitely on the combat aspect. I read some older posts mentioning that adding a crouch feature was not a consideration at all, I really hope you change your minds about that at some point. It's really easy to get stuck in silly places, where all you'd really have to do to get loose, is to crouch. When it comes to improvements, I hope there will be a vicinity area when tabbing so it would be easier to pick up a specific item in a pile next to you. And a keybind for the map when it's present in your inventory. For crafting I'd wish it was possible to add stacks instead of single items, then it could craft one type, if you add an output slot, and say you have 100 iron ingots going it stacks those, and holds on to smelting the copper ore until you pick up the iron ingots from the output slot. Then eventually we could get crafty with machinery and connect stuff to chests etc for automated systems hopefully. But I understand at that point it's getting advanced. Other than that the combat has a lot of room for improvement. Especially melee combat, it can be a bit clunky atm, the way it locks the orientation when you do a hit, smashing running boars can be really hard, and sometimes even a little frustrating.

    Map shortcut

I wish there was a keybinding "M" if you have a map in your inventory. If you don't have it, you could just get a message saying "There is no map in your inventory" or something like that. Please

    Suggestion - Crafting

Hi, love the game but I feel crafting is a bit tedious, I hope it eventually will be possible to create some smart solutions for crafting, like in minecraft. Where you can build auto feeds and connect things to chests etc. If there's more advanced furnaces eventually and forges. With some more "expensive" materials. Also instead of crafting one and one in a 9 slot place, rather craft stacks, like again in Minecraft. I am sure you tried to seperate from minecraft as is with the way it is now. But the way furnace etc works is a bit more user-friendly.

Drop everything by default when dragging

I agree, I feel it is kind of backwards coming from minecraft, pubg and other games. I also wish there was a vicinity field for things on ground, so many times it's difficult to pick up the items you really want. and you have to pick up berries and everything just to throw them out again.
  8. I don't really understand what you mean by that. I can mine just fine underwater, visibility on the other hand is a different thing. I'd hope the breathing mask made it easier to see under water. But it doesn't. When it does come to physics though, I keep getting air on the bottom when I dig under water. As well as the tool in my hand is not visible when in water.
  9. I found an underwater house, and there I found neoprine suit, with flippers, and a breathing mask. I can swim faster than sharks now, and I need to figure out a mechanism of how I can empty the house for water so I can expand on this amazing underwater house. I've also found a planewreck under water earlier with some passenger loot. Clothing and a computer. So there's certainly things to find on the bottom of the ocean! I just need to find out how to effectively kill sharks now.
  10. Having a blast with this game but I am really missing the ability to crouch, was surprised the c button swapped camera instead. I've had to use unstuck command so many places where I probably just could've crouched my way out from. I also think it would add some depth to pvp play. Fingers crossed Also can report that there's some bugs with the map in multiplayer. The host is the only one who keeps the data for the map after dying or reloading the game. The dig and place dirt crosshair is also off-center from the regular sight and feels a bit wonky to control. Just the aim. The way digging itself works is pretty good!
