I stand corrected. I thought you meant a building mechanic tutorial, not the game tutorial. Since I will never go to the game again, I don't care. So there IS not tutorial for the new build mechanics? That's awesome. Really awesome.

The edge water seems to be different than the deep water. It loads in separately even when the deep water doesnt load at all.

My biggest beef at the moment is the lack of communication. I still have not seen the question I have asked several times as to how one uses the enhanced capability of the third person camera. They knew going in this was a problem for some. The assurance was we would like the new version so much better. Maybe. But the only difference I see is the lack of 1st person. Which not only causes problems in tight spaces, but now I can't take pretty screen shots. Yes I can use free camera, but it changes aspect. -
Anchored in shallow water is problematic. Last night one of our new players was trying to build. He was anchored. When he picked up anything from the deck, his ship bounced like a bucking bronco. I dropped a log and when I picked it up. Same thing. He moved out to slightly deeper water and it went away.

I still have to run at medium settings to get above 15 fps. On our server, I was rocking 4 big fps. woot woot

Inside the game? Are you talking about the gold rush game? Because OF COURSE that's where anyone would look for it. My god that's even a worse answer than I just didn't see the link.

I have looked for it. The only tutorial I found was the one that we did for the new pet. It hasn't been updated since August. So even KNOWING it exists. I can't find it. Here's an idea. That big link at the top of the MP Lobby advertising the Gold Rush game? How about adding one for the tutorial.

Was there any mention of the mini turorial? None of the people I played with knew of it's existence. I certainly did not see it.

Did you actually play them? A lot of us did. The players that came with me to P1, where do you think I met most if them?

Oh, and your new gold rush game? Really? No instruction except to craft and pick things up. No way to make tools because stones are not pickable. I found stone chunks, but cant turn them into stones without a hammer. Which I can't make without a stone. You may see the problem here. I know we complained about having so many unused mp servers out ther. But you took away all official explore servers? Really?? How are new players supposed to play mp? Or do you even care about mp?

@Aleš Ulm are you listening to other opinions? I read about the new improved features coming. No idea at all how to use them. I try combat mode. I see changes in animations. But I have no idea how to access any animations. To be fair, no one would join me so I was trying to fight predator animals. New improved 3rd person camera? Looks the same to me. I can't see any way to access the promised ability to see past my own head. For me the grid snapping in build is an improvement. But then I was never able to succsessfully used G,and H. I have always had the slingshotting block syndrome. Picking up multiple items. I had no idea to open up my inventory and look there. Why would I? And I see no performance improvement on my MP dedicated server. With 6 players on, I was reduced to 4 fps at one point. There are weird visual glitches happening. Whole blocks of sea simply not loading in. Yes, I can still sail and swim, but it looks awful. As you move / run from one area of the island and new land appears, I turn into a bald head as trees and plants load in individually. My ship is behaving weirdly. As I was stopping to talk to a nearby player, I came to a stop, attempted to flip the anchor lever. My avatar went off the edge of the boat and I landed in the water ON THE OTHER SIDE of the island. The build system is so different, it's hard to know if it is working as intended, or just completely broken. My best friends in the game are thinking of moving on, and it makes me sad. Don't just tell us that change takes time. Between the three of us, @kimbuck @MyPa553ng3r_P1and myself, we have close to 7000 hours combined. Don't be so dismissive. We are not stupid. If we can't figure out how to use the whizbang features, it is because BI did a crap job of explaining them. Don't be defensive and dismissive when we give the feedback you claim to want.

That is not at all intuitive. How was I to know that? (Thank you, @Indomitus) So now, how do we access the sooper dooper, so good we won't even miss 1st P, third person effects? For the love of Bob, why would you change long embedded functions and not put instructions where players will see them ? Has BI never made a game before???? yes, I know they have. That was sarcasm -

I see them dropping into the ground, but I can pick them up. What I don't understand is what change was supposed to have been made in picking up items? I still have to pick up one by one like always. -
Can they use circular stairs?

We have been having 6+ players at times the last couple of weeks. I hope we don't lose these enthusiastic players to discouragement. -

I was messing around in creative, and made player roles. This would be a very useful addition to MP Explore. If the player had option of Easy (no death penalty) or Standard. I would also like to see in the generated maps, islands further apart. Far enough apart you need to sail to them. This would potentially eliminate for me the need to even use straight explore maps.

You might want to check it out before you judge. Also the dev diary says they will keep it as an experimental feature, unsupported. It will become a /cmdlist item, I believe. Another example of the devs listenung to our requests. -
Will combat include NPCs? This is going to be an awesome update.

It grew to over 30 mb. I had to put in a new map. It loaded in at 3.74 mb. Let's see if it survives the weekend.

I'm not a programmer so I don't know what is wrong. But I can tell you that the map life span is way too short. I started a new map on P1 dedicated server on November 8. It loaded in at less than 7 mb. About a day later, the ocean broke, so I had to reload it in, causing my players to lose a day's progress. Yesterday November 12, I did a bit of maintenance in the editor, then reloaded the game at around 13 mb. Thanks to @RedEagle_P1. getting the word out, we had a ton of players stop in and check it out. To find it laggy and glitchy and no fun to play. Yay. It has doubled in size to 26 mb. At around 25 mb performance takes a hit. Around 27 mb players can't work around it and abandon. In the old days on foobars server, I think he managed to eke it to 60 mb. Tonight I did what I needed to do for admin stuff, but rage quit because I just can't tolerate the lag and the glitches. At one point I was at 7 fps. Unplayable. And we had guests today who saw it at its worse. So now, my map if feeling unplayable again. This leaves me the choice of losing players due to performance issues, or losing player due to constant restarts. I am so frustrated right now I'm seriously considering uninstalling it and coming back on final release if then. But yeah, take out first person camera. And give us more duck boats.
