I have to assume that y'all don't care that much about us being able to host. I just set up a verified account as a Creator Club member. Why can't I also pay for my server this way? Why can't I buy coyns directly from Steam? I understand (not really but let's say it's true) that you can't say when or if nitrado is going to be able to host. But you control the BI rented servers. Why are you making the process so difficult. Let me explain to you. In order to pay for them, I have to have money on my steam wallet. Which means, for me that I have to physically go down to a local store that sells steam cards. We are in a global pandemic, I don't know if you've heard. It's one more trip out, I am not going to make. The fix is easy. Really it is. Allow for purchasing directly from the presumably secure server I just paid my Creator Club membership from. Really, it's that easy. Rent Gold Server for 3 months. Put in an option. If I can't at least get an acknowledgement from this post, I will assume I am right. I will stop trying to host this pathetic game. @Aleš Ulm

Just trying to host is problematic. I have several posts out there explaining why. It all goes unacknowledged much less fixed. And now today, after the drop of 1.4 Creator Club, I can't log in to the workshop. I can't buy the creator club membership. I can't host on Nitrado. And to host on the BI servers is just too hard. I have suggested fixes. They are ignored. We had a game about exploring a world. But the devs think adding stickers is what we want. I want the navigation birds back. I want to NOT see the next island over. I want ships to be fundamental to the game. Now, you never ever need to build one. It is so far from what I want, I only check in because I have a lot of hours and money invested. I can't even imaging being able to spend hours in the new game. @Aleš Ulm take a fresh look at the early days. Look at the Kirales videos. That's the game I fell in love with. Now add stability.

So even if I want to join the creator club, even if I want to host, you guys are making it almost impossible.

Several hours later. Still no luck.

I can't log in to the workshop so I can buy the creator club membership. It keeps timing out. Sheesh

Waiting for Nitrado.

Currently I can't find the puzzle shape I need to create the script I want. Specifically, I am working in a vanilla exploration map. I want to add some resources. I have done this in the past, but now that the scripting has been "improved" the shapes I need no longer fit together. Is there a way to change the connection shape? I checked the wiki, and of course, it was not updated with the update. And also Nitrado still won't accept this game, but that's on the Nitrado side I'm sure. One of the issues I had with picking them as the designated host, but that's another topic. As things stand, I can't make the game I want to host. Which I was led to believe was the entire point of this game: build the game you want. Except I can't.

I know how to do it.The pieces I need don't exist. In past iterations I would use a basket, or a chest, or a safe, as a trigger to spawn items into the player inventory that I wanted them to have, such as resources or a creator cube. The puzzle shape attachments that I needed don't exist on those items any more. I could have spawned the items to another location, but not to the player inventory. I was able to do it using a lever, but not the other items.

i downloaded it yesterday. its lackluster. and they have changed the editor yet again, so i have to relearn it.

I am waiting for nitrado. Which, let's be honest, isn't the greatest option. Even though the performance of the BI servers is great. It is just too hard. I can't buy the coins to rent the server from inside the game. I have to FIRST put money in my steam wallet. Which is a pain in the nethers. Then I can't just click the button to rent, oh no. I have to figure out how many coins to buy. I have asked a couple of times to just have an option for the right number of coins. I have yet to be acknowledged in the request. And honestly, how hard is it? And once I do rent the server, there is no way to allow others to have admin. The server situation is a disaster. If you wanted to actively discourage people from playing this game, you couldn't have done a better job. FFS

Nitrado still isn't offering Ylands. Do we know when? In my experience, Nitrado is horrible at customer service. I have hosted with them both in my capacity with P1 and also on my own private server for about three years. I am not surprised they are not online with this. I know it has been said that they limited what servers could be used because of security issues around monetization. Which makes no sense, but whatever. If you are not monetizing, it should be as it was before when you could host wherever you wanted, and even self hosted. We are 10 months out of when we were told "soon" we could host with Nitrado. Honestly, I am just about over it. I tried playing last night, and I miss the old game so much. What we have now is just lame.

You may have called it survival. But the game called it explore.

You will note that the devs talk about exploration, not survival. This hasn't ever been a survival game. Like I said there are lots of hardcore survival games out there. This isn't where I play when I'm looking for that.

Or better yet, just make it a clickable purchase inside the server window. It doesn't need to be a three step process.

Ew. There are a lot of games like that. If you are a BI fanboy, download Dayz.

Not the topic at hand, but it would be nice to have a sit mechanic that you could actually sit near tables and things. If you place chairs wrong now, they are either unusable, or you get stuck, or you have to sit 12 feet from the desk/table. See how Sims handle chairs, they snap to the table grid, and the animation handles sitting down and getting up.

@Igor Q.you don't play exploration. We don't need fewer inventory slots. what we need is more with better organization. We could possibly get by with what we have if we could get a toolbelt and a saddle with saddlebags for our mounts.

They are not that hard to find without the ships.

You don't even need ships now. They are frankly a liability. They are slow. They are difficult because of the lack of resources. I usually end up rafting or swimming to the next island anyway. Because its literally RIGHT THERE. There is no mystery to this game.

Partly due to the sleep bug, and also I like to be able to check lighting in my builds, I usually build guns to change time and weather in game. I used to do this using the visual scripting command "on range attack." This command does not seem to exist any more. Where did it go? And how do I script this now?

Sorry I don't remember the details. If it happens again I will try to pay attention.
