I experienced paid content (cosmetic or not) only in a few of games I played. But I quite liked the concept of now non-existing Roblox tickets alias "tix". You could earned it really slowly when playing the game and you get them different ways possible. They were free, but the exchange rates for actual in game currency were really quite high. But with a "free currency", people like me not used to pay for extra content could buy at least one little thing in the shop. Of course not anything else, but it than had even bigger value for them. Or people who made a great thing could charge for it nearly nothing. When a lot of people liked it and buyed it, it became something. It's not longer existing feature, but I like this concept. Have you considered something like this?

I don't think so. They would certainly tell us about something so big. Yes, you will be able to do it. (correct me if I'm wrong) I hope that somebody will make a race track soon. I can't wait on some crazy races with crazy cars and crazy drivers.

I would even like to find some "blueprints" in the Explore scenario. So you can craft rare items. I definitely like the idea of some recipe books (Minecraft made something like that possible recently) for adventure maps or thematic servers.

I see that it will be first steam in the Ylands rather than Ylands on the Steam. By the way, my comment about engines was more accurate that I would have thought: "I recently built a ship so I know how slooow these things are. So I like the idea of having some engine. I don't know if it would be a coal engine (but just imagine the steampunk and Ylands combined. That would be awesome!) but I'm looking forward to see the different car parts, so we may learn there something about the motorized future of this game. "

Some ideas to manage energy in a house
Miguel Preguisa replied to Mistrane's topic in Community News
Great looking house! I had no luck in finding Ylandium yet so I have to wait with the circuits -
This game has my soul too, so I will try to answer some of your questions. Pets are definitely a planned feature to be added in the game. And they recently reworked the AI, so who knows? I have a feeling that the devs stated that more vehicles beside the ships and cars are planned. Judging by the amount of request about submarines and airplanes, I guess that those could be added somewhen in the future. I recently built a ship so I know how slooow these things are. So I like the idea of having some engine. I don't know if it would be a coal engine (but just imagine the steampunk and Ylands combined. That would be awesome!) but I'm looking forward to see the different car parts, so we may learn there something about the motorized future of this game.

Take a look at this video. Clay has light-brownish color and its located on the surface.

I'm preparing something in the Editor now and I have a few questions. 1) How can I make a countdown? 2) Is there a way to choose some chance for something to happen? I know I could use Energy Randomizers to make it work, but is there any better way? Possibly without any physical components? 3) Does it matter where I put the Character Roles? Or it absolutely doesn't matter? That's all I can think of now, but I will maybe run into something another to ask about soon.

Thanks for the answers. I already figured out the countdown I needed (Event Listener and "Delay the following action"), but I have another question. I made a trigger zones which kill when you step in them. Is there a way how to disable or hide them (move them into the ground?) after a certain action in-game? I need them to be harmless when the countdown gets to zero, but I can't find any way how to do it.

Being able to see even in the darkest times and spaces is great. But there are a few things I do not like about it. 1) You can easily spot anybody sneaking around your camp. He's glowing, nothing easier than to shoot him. 2) This. Too many people in one place or close to each other can create really really strong light. (Picture from Adrie's server) I'm not sure how or if it could be done, but the best solution would be if we could see the glow around us, but not around anybody else.

I'm not sure what am I doing with my time, but after more than 100 edited pictures in PowerPoint...
-
We had two years in school a subject for making animations but there wasn't any good or stable editing program. So I trained myself in the superior program called PowerPoint. It's actually easy to understand and to use and even quite helpful if you don't use colored shadows or word art.

Thanks! And I hope those fancy animations weren't all just for showcasing. Because they look awesome!

I have just this one messy screenshot, but cars definitely look great!

Thank you all for kind words! And not even one scared reaction "PowerPoint?!"

Some of them spawn in the caves too. For example gold or sulphur.

The resource distribution was changed in the last update, so it should be easier to find minerals on a new generated world.

It has been published now Thanks to you -
These are some really good news! I can't wait to see those two new things you are so excited about. (Programmable robots maybe? )

Editor: How to prepare a composition for upload
Miguel Preguisa replied to Mesh333's topic in Community News
Thanks! -
How can I upload my composition? Its file is named .ycomp, but in the uploading panel, I can choose only .ycp files. And another question to it, is there a way how to find something in the Editor if I accidentally fly too far? I wanted to upload both of my crazy ships, but I'm unable to find the flying one.

RESOLVED boat problems
Miguel Preguisa replied to AlchemistDagger's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
The third happens sometimes even to me even on the surface. Not sure if this is the same issue as mine, but for me, it's caused by pressing more buttons at the same time (F and J for example). The axis will make exactly this. -
Really cool looking ships! Both of them.
-
Are you considering to add the option for them to be generated in the editor?
-
Does it actually work? (Press ' to see the exact time) Nice idea!
