We might have to work together on something :D

Trust me, you wouldn't want to :D I have a terrible workflow. I have only this multipurpose room (interior+exterior), radio and the plants done. Plus half of a Seamoth. And I started on this last weekend  xD But I'm happy to share once I get something more. At least some hatches, corridors and a moonpool (I have no idea how to build the holographic map of the scanner room)

If you give us the power to put power-barriers in editor maps and generate multi-biome maps, I could see players creating subnatica-like ocean survival games with quests. Giving us the power to create them would be amazing :D

    Nice :D

What server do you normally play explore in? or do you play solo?

I play only solo (with the exception of Gold Rush event and once I kind of climbed the top point of the HQ castle I found on P1 servers :D) which may also be the reason I'm not critical at all about the multiplayer here like everybody else xD

Quick workaround to felling  trees and  removing stumps ...also   stone lumps ...     .... use a revolver!    -   :D 6 shots will fell a tree..another 4 to 6  will  cause it to break into logs......  and   4   will remove  the stump!B|

Also 4  to  6  shots  will  turn a lump of  rock into  a pick-able   stone.     Not  the best way to  remove  things,  but more  accurate and you can avoid  hitting   other things.

    Besides ...its  also fun   :D

  5. I see that Blue Nude by Henri Matisse in blue no more xD

Very cool building and not less cool penguin! I hope that he knows that although he's a bird, his flying skills aren't sufficient enough.

  6. It feels somehow off to see Ylands like this. I'm glad that this may help the development in some way. But I hope to stumble upon as few ChinaYlands material as possible in the future.

  7. This was like a really filling Dev Diary xD Thanks for sharing, it was really interesting!

Why Early Access and why we didn't wait for a final product?

I can't speak for everybody so just my bit.

I find some beauty in Early Access, the more if devs are actually communicating with the players along the way. To see the game grow, advance, change. It adds one more layer to the game for me. Because it's not just the game itself, it's the process. Of many fulfilled wishes, of losing the whole save due to a bug that leaves you just in your underwear and deletes all items and blocks in the entire game, of bugs that drove you mad entire months, of final fixes of them, of new worlds created because -trust it or not- now there are caves!, of features you have to wave goodbye to (I miss you Replicator ❤), of players slowly discovering the game features because there isn't (wasn't) any gamepedia, and last but not least - of flying sharks. Try to say it doesn't sound great. Well, many of my friends did tell me that, but I still think that well done EA is an unforgettable experience. If a polished AAA game is an evening in a luxury hotel, then EA is a night hike through an unmapped forest.

Which is a compliment by the way. May not sound like it. But it definitely is. :P

  8. Oh, it's Ylands for sure. I finally found enough time. There's no point in playing it just half an hour a day. :P But Ylands still has to share its time with another game I fell in love with - Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad. It's quite old multiplayer game (2011) but there is still a lot of active players. It looks like this will be the only multiplayer game ever in which I'm going to hit the highest level possible. Can't wait! ?

    Great video,

I'm more of a nomad myself! The first thing I make is a Knife then start crafting a Bow and Arrows.

Then hunt some Bears for some warm clothing. (With the exception of a Wolf Helmet! ?)

I don't usually cut down a tree until I decide to build something!

    A builder, a nomad and I'm... a hoarder.

I pick up anything that seems nice - which is pretty much everything. I build primarily to store my belongings and even though I start building the very first day, it takes me usually more than two in-game weeks to have everything in its place xD

Well... I'll come back to what I said!

I just placed an old blueprint, dating before the update.
And there, no problem with alignment! Everything is changeable, inked in the grid, without the need to demolish everything to rebuild!

Is this the update? Or is there a particular reason?

I think they changed how is the blueprint pasted into the world. I built one today and it was perfectly fitted into the grid :)

EDIT: And it even fits with its color/material palette to my other builds :P

  11. I just alt+tabed to say that I love the new Gold Rush map! It's really detailed, not just the town, but I was amazed by the workshops on the water, really nice job. It overall seems like a fun game to play but it would need at least five people there online at the same time :/ If anybody's planning any Gold Rush party, let me know!
