    RESOLVED {Experimental Branch} Missing gravestones

The hardcoded functionality is gone, but the entity is still available and shouldn't be difficult to replicate with a bit of scripting ?

    The State of Ylands

The definition of Personal Attack seems to be this: Noun. personal attack (plural personal attacks) An abusive remark on or relating to somebody's person instead of providing evidence when examining another person's claims or comments. It doesn't seem to me Mello is attacking you personally, but just doesn't agree with your remarks you have made and actions you have taken in Ylands. It all seems to be related to Ylands ? Also would be nice, if you'd show the latest figures and not just the part supporting your argument ? That's not to say that there isn't something wrong with the game and that is precisely why we're working so hard on update 1.5 and 1.6 to support Exploration properly (and one of the reasons we're doing the whole teleporting between worlds is because it then makes the maps much more manageable and never again should there be anything close to a progress wipe) but just so there is complete information out there ?

Dev Diary #155 - Experimental Build

Hey there Ylanders! 1.5 is nearing its release and with it countless new adventures in our reworked Exploration, though a lot of work still awaits us to make the experience perfect ? But before we release 1.5, we wanted to give our Creators a chance (especially now with the competition still in progress) to try out their games in our improved and fixed Editor to make sure, everything works, as it supposed to. That is why we would be very happy if the brave among you dived into our Experimental branch and gave the Editor a spin. But beware, there are a few things you should be aware of before you do, so please read very carefully the Exploration Build post so you don't lose any of your data during transfer. But what can you expect in this Experimental branch? Well you can check out the full changelog in the Experimental branch post itself, but just to name a few: Improved profile page We've improved the profile page (accessible by clicking character portrait in the Main menu). See your favourite games, your friends' Avatars or their friends. Custom bitmap import As you have already seen in last weeks Dev Diary, Creators can now import their own images to be used as game UI (panels, buttons, icons...) or even in custom particles. Please note that all custom bitmaps are checked before the game is made visible on Workshop. Dynamic lights visible on mobile devices We keep tirelessly working so that your mobile gaming experience is as close to PC as possible and made big improvements regarding lighting in mobile games. Terrain roughen tool Making a natural-looking terrain is so much easier with this new tool and with a couple of modes to try out too. Controlling a non-player object Two new instructions have been added: Get Horizontal Input / Get Vertical Input, which will return player X / Y controller input. They can be used in new Event Listener event - On Fixed Update to "animate" any object as if controlling the player. Please note that this feature currently works for SP games only. And much much more! So please check out the post about the Experimental Build and see you in Ylands Creators and stay classy ? P.S. Pst. Explorers. Come here. Don't think we forgot about you. I sneaked out a small sneak peek at the new map system just for you ?

    {Experimental Branch} Feedback/Suggestions Terrain&Mummy

Also in 1.5 you'll be able to make a multitude of terrain shapes using the path system ? So try that out once the Update drops ?
  6. We took offence from your Feedback? I do not remember this ? We take all feedback on board and very seriously. The sentence with not having to build your home time and time again is in reference, that you won't have to restart your Exploration over and over again, because you already Explored everything and have nothing to do. In the new Exploration, you'll just go on more adventures ? And as for losing your progress, that is not an issue of Exploration but of the Editor and Custom maps. This is mainly, as I've mentioned in other posts and to you personally, because Exploration and Custom Games were not designed to be MMO's with 8 players over the course of weeks and months but shorter experiences. This shouldn't be a problem in official Exploration, where you play on your own or with a couple of your friends and especially now, when Exploration will be divided in smaller bite-size maps, that you'll be able to travel between of. But the game, unfortunately, has it's limits in respect to what you are trying to do on your servers, which is recreate Exploration for free for players with a lot of scripting for a lot of players for a long period of time. Those kind of servers then start to be unstable and essentially crash or "rollback". But this shouldn't be a huge problem in official Exploration when playing peer-to-peer, on sharegames or even on rented servers and hopefully shouldn't be a problem at all in the new official Exploration coming out in 1.5 and being perfected in 1.6. Also you mentioned, that in the FAQ we did with Aleš, it broke your heart, that he answered he is most excited to see imported bit maps into the Editor for Update 1.5. Well he actually said that he is excited for two things. Importing images into the Editor and Exploration and how he wants to make it great again, so I hope that ubreaks your heart ??❤️ The FAQ itself was then predominantly about Exploration also ? The FAQ itself: And Exploration very much is our focus right now, but since we do not want to fire our Editor team in the meantime ? they are also still making content for the Editor. Hope this alleviates some worries you might have had and clears up some misunderstandings ?

    {Experimental Branch} Feedback/Suggestions Terrain&Mummy

Super, thank you for the Feedback, appreciate it ? Maybe we can do a "eviler" mummy in the future ? I'll ask about the donut and LoD but that would probably still be something for a later update.

Getting ready for new images: icon creating site

I'll ask but with all the Exploration tasks for 1.5 and 1.6 I'm afraid it won't be a priority right now. But I'll try and get the ball rolling.

    Re-write books?

So I talked to the designers and they'll try to implement it into 1.6, but no promises (since 1.6 will be pretty packed with stuff for Exploration already ?) but they will be working on it and it is on their radar ?
